Christmas Eve Slow Sunday Stitching

Are you rushing around your sewing room trying to finish up some last minute gifts? I am notorious for doing this and although every single year I tell myself that I'm not doing that ever again, I always do.

complex and creative jean mending project

Thankfully I'm not finishing up any quilts this year, but I do have two secret sewing/mending tasks to finish. Repairing items and mending jobs are not high on my list of enjoyable tasks, so my gift to certain family members is to fix their items and have them wrapped up and under the  Christmas tree by tomorrow morning.

And then, I can do some fun hand stitching. I am really looking forward to some hand applique time to finish up block #34 for my Blockheads project. Here are all the threads assembled and ready to stitch down these pieces. As soon as the wrapping is done, I'll be making a cup of tea and putting some stitches into my house, while watching a Christmas movie.

Will you have any time to enjoy some hand stitching today? To entice you to write a blog post about your hand stitching, I'm having a little giveaway of this adorable Crabapple Hill Crazy Quilt Snowman embroidery pattern and some Christmas fabric to go with it.

All of today's link ups will be entered in the draw, and the winner be determined by a random draw on Christmas morning. I hope you will take a moment to relax and do some hand stitching. Then tell us what you're stitching, and what you hope to finish up to put under the Christmas tree for someone special.

Happy Christmas Eve to my Slow Sunday Stitching readers!

I've been busy and hadn't planned to post today but I guess I had better get busy and write on. I love the snowman embroidery pattern! Thanks for the give away.

I only made a few small gifts this year and they were done a few weeks ago. Much of today will be spent preparing food for Christmas dinner. I did my slow stitching yesterday and finished off my tree skirt binding . Your house block is a perfect project for today...I wish you and your family a very merry and cozy Christmas! Thanks so much for the Slow Sunday Stitching link ups each week. I love getting together with my stitching buddies each week through your blog.

No holiday sewing here. My daughter did ask for one of the table runners I made for the shop, so that made it easy. We are actually sewing spring items for the shop now, even though we are into the midst of good winter's storm right. That's probably why about the second week in January I am begging for good weather!

I've just finished my morning stitching. Now it's time to tidy up that corner of the room as I prep for our family Christmas today. Have a lovely Christmas, Kathy!

We made it home for Christmas—snow storm and all! I have my hand stitching and will be doing some right after breakfast. Will be doing some grocery shopping later and have a suitcase full of Christmas gifts and goodies to unpack. We’ll be making the holiday for my 93-year-old MIL, a very dear person to all who know her. Merry Christmas to all!

Have a very Merry Christmas. What a fun gift, mending. That truly is a labor of love. I'm hoping to get in some hand stitching during all the visiting today. But that might not happen. But I'm pretty sure I'll get in some nice contemplative hand stitching time tomorrow.

Merry Christmas Kathy, I will be doing a little slow stitching off and on today in between getting ready for a Xmas Eve evening with daughter and son in law

I am doing some slow stitching this morning while the boys are still sleeping. And reading blogs with my cup of coffee, of course. Lol. I didn't plan on posting today but, sure, why not? I love the stitchery you are offering as I love snowmen. Thank you for the giveaway. Thank you for doing the linky party every Sunday. One of my fun things to do over the weekend is reading your blog and visiting the links. I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season. ;^)

I was planning on a lot of Christmas quilts but around Thanksgiving I gave up that idea. It relaxed me for the rest of the season. I will start doing some of the quilting in Feb and spread it out over the following months.

Merry Christmas. I wish I could link up to be involved with the drawing but I don't have a blog.
