Scrappy Saturday - Quilt Top Finish

I am so excited to share with my Rainbow Scrap Challenge friends that my "Mad City Mama" blocks have turned into a quilt top! Here is the completed 9th and final block using a ton of lime green scraps. There is so much cutting and sewing of tiny bits and pieces in these blocks by Bonnie Hunter (pattern in Adventures in Leaders and Enders).
As soon as this last block was made, I couldn't wait to get ALL the blocks sewn together. Here they are! That was a lot of seam matching... don't look too closely!

This has been a totally awesome project for using up scraps and I'm so delighted with the outcome! Any ideas for quilting designs are welcome!
Hop over to the Scrap Happy Finishing Fiesta and see what other projects are nearing completion today.

Kathy, that is a lot of scrappy fun! I've enjoyed your posts about those blocks this year. Congratulations on getting the top all put together!

Congratulations on getting your blocks together. What a fun riot of color they make. I don't think that fancy quilting is required, with so much beautiful color, that will be the main focal point. Maybe some nice organic straight lines for a modern feel?

Now that's a real scrap buster and beautiful too. You can almost call this one "Keep Calm". Enjoy! ;^)

Gorgeous and looks perfect to me! I agree - simple quilting to let the quilt shine.... I was thinking baptist fans but with all the seams something simple would work great.

A sight for rainbow eyes! Good Job with just 2 weeks left in the year. Thinking I'm not going to get to work on my quilts much. I've put off the Christmas projects too long.

I'm behind in reading your posts-- the holidays got in the way! This is totally amazing. Congratulations!!! Very impressive that you matched the blocks together. I would have taken the easy way out and used a sashing! =O Regarding quilting...I would do an all over pattern with a neutral thread. You have a lot going on with all the color and pieces. Just add some texture and it will be fabulous!
