Design Wall Monday

It's week two of the Quiltville mystery and I am caught up with my blocks. I decided to sew half of the required blocks so that I can keep up with the mystery at this busy time of year. If at the end of the mystery I find out that I want to make the full size quilt, I can always make more blocks.

I love my TriRecs rulers and have had so much use out of them over the years. I use them to make my Alamo Star blocks in a teeny tiny 1.25" size, and even at that tiny size, the blocks are always accurate.
Hop over to Quiltville to see what the mystery quilters have accomplished this week. And you can see more design wall postings over at Patchwork Times.

Good thinking. I need to get my Tri-Recs started for the link-up. I can do it as soon as Hubby goes to work. He says the machine sounds like a race car trying to start. Vrrooom, Vrrooom.

Loving how this block would look as a border the way you laid them out! I am doubting they are star points this time!

Love your colors and especially the way you laid them out for the photo - that block would make an awesome quilt!

I'm also only making half the blocks for now and clue #2 is done. I can't get accurate units using the tri-recs, no matter how carefully I cut ans sew. But I used a Deb Tucker ruler and made perfect units. With Deb's rulers you make a slightly bigger unit and trim it down. So yes, there's a bit of waste, but no worse than paper piecing them and there's no paper to remove.

I like the way you have your blocks laid out. Why not stitch them together and be done? *LOL*

Your blocks look fabulous, but oh my word -- did I read correctly that they are only 1.25" square?!!! I didn't know it was possible to even MAKE blocks that tiny!!

Very pretty blocks. You've done a great job of keeping up.

I'm liking how you laid out the blocks. Make them a little bigger and it would be a cute quilt all by itself.
