Scrappy Saturday

We are in a 28 day "lockdown/stay at home" order in our province. We usually experience some "cabin fever" at the best of times during the middle of every winter, so we need to be creative to find ways to make this "safe at home" experience more enjoyable.

I have been making a variety of soups and some of them have been delicious and some have been, well, "interesting". This was a "clean out the fridge" soup which was interesting! LOL

I have also been playing in the pink scraps making my Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks and this week I added a few more to the waffle collection, and the easy breezy collection.

Linking up to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge party

I have been making soup as well!!! Some are really tasty and some are "interesting", just like yours! Nice pink blocks. I have not made any more pink blocks this week but did use up some other coloured scraps. The scraps keep multiplying, despite my best efforts to tame them.

Take care

do you can the soup or freeze it? or make enough to have lunch every day? Sometimes I will make soup too but not as much as a thicker stew which hubby prefers. I hope the 28 days at home works - people just won't follow the rules so they don't bother here - I wish they would at least a lot of people are now staying home more than they did I think and wearing masks more

We are still seeing "naysayers" without masks around here--so we've really only ever gone to early SR grocery hrs and various medical appointments...I cannot imagine what is wrong with these people...

Your pink "Easy" blocks are really pretty and I just love the waffle ones...is the solid strip on the waffles deep pink or red? hard to tell on the computer...I have yet to choose a block for RSC--I will only pick one as I have my Geese and Log Cabin going...I am definitely "late" to the party ;000

Sometimes “clean out the fridge” soups are the best! Such sweet pink blocks.

The pandemic here in Brazil is very complicated, the numbers are increasing and we still don't have a vaccine authorized by the National Health Agency. The situation of Amazonas state is critical, even lacking oxygen...

The soup sounds interesting! With just two of us, we’d get tired of a big batch. I’m making Easy Breezy blocks and love the waffle ones for tiny scraps you’re making. I got my second vaccine Wednesday and our medical practice is trying to reopen offices late this month. COVID is rampant in my County and I’m not excited about going back to in-office work. I love working from home!

I hibernate thru the winter anyway and have always avoided crowds, so this isn't a big deal to just'lockdown'. I use my crockpost a lot during this season - soups, stews, roasts and clean the fridge meals.

I had to laugh about the "interesting" soup--I've made a few interesting dishes lately too. Love your nice pink blocks. Stay safe!

Covid is bad here, too, but so far we are not on lockdown. Maybe we should be. I love a good pot of soup. Hmmm, maybe tomorrow.
Though pink is not a favorite of mine, all of your blocks are happy and fun.

I wish my hubby liked soup. I have been trying new recipes though. Mongolian beef noodles was a hit.
I love your scrappy pink blocks. Scrappy always looks good to me.

I never think to can the soups.... and I am the only one that eats them in the house! I do love my soups though.

Soups & fabric to get you through the lockdown. Sounds like a winning combination to me too!
