|Sewing keeps me sane|
This week was so busy that I haven't even visited the links from last Sunday, which hardly ever happens. I was working extra hours so that I can take most of next week off to attend Quilt Canada.
With such busyness, I haven't had much time for stitching. You know it's bad when I am not doing the thing on which my sanity depends! I will change that today. My mental health situation requires me to get as much hand stitching time as possible! It is the priority activity on the agenda and this will be my view. I am sewing the binding down on one edge of my Swoon quilt. I have the top three blocks sewn together and decided to see if I like the striped binding fabric that I found. I'm loving it! It has all the colours of the quilt (white, grey, black and yellow). This is the first time I have started attaching the binding to part of a quilt that isn't even finished yet - it's still in several parts! That is one of the benefits of Quilt-as-you-go.
So now it's your turn. Link up your blog post below and tell us what you're hand stitching today.
I hope you get a chance to recharge your batteries today and enjoy quilt Canada!
Enjoy Quilt Canada. I hope you are able to relax and have a good time. I'm working with my La Passion, and will (as usual) link up when I pass the next hundred in a minute.
Quilt Canada! You'll have sew much fun! XO
You were missed yesterday! I'm headed home later this morning (breakfast with the few remaining). The ugly fabric projects were creative. I got a great piece (not ugly at all) this time. One of my fabrics was brought back, and added in, so, we'll see more of it next year. Have a fun week at Quilt Canada!
You are right..that binding fabric is perfect! :) Have fun at Quilt Canada !
Yes, I am really ready for some easy hand quilting today too. Enjoy your day!
I always like how a striped binding looks. Enjoy your stitching.
Between my youngest daughter's graduation from college tomorrow and having family here for a visit I have had no stitching time for the last week and I miss it so much! I'll be happy to get back to a regular schedule soon :)
Sure Kathy, sewing keeps me sane. You found the perfect fabric for binding your quilt, I love striped binding it gives a great look for the quilt. Have fun!
The striped binding looks fabulous. Enjoy your day.
Your binding project sounds intriguing. Enjoy Quilt Canada!
You said your quilt is in several parts but you're already stitching the binding? I hope you will show us how that works!

Wow! I am amazed how many people hand stitch. Although I don't have the patience for that, I sure do enjoy seeing all the wonderful creations of those who do. The only thing I hand stitch right now are bindings. But you know, it really is a relaxing thing to do while watching TV. Hmm. I might have to consider this . . .
That binding is going to be a fun addition to the quilt. Hope you got in lots of sanity time last weekend.
