Design Wall Monday #46

55 flying geese have already been sewn for step #2 of Bonnie's Easy Street mystery.  Some of my fabrics look like they are blue, but they really are all purple.

I have all the rest of the pieces cut out for the other 73 geese that will be flying through my sewing machine this week. Very fun sewing to look forward to!

I love cutting the little dog ears off the sides of the geese, and saving them in the jars that I collect. Why do I do that? Because it makes me happy when I look at them, and that is a good enough reason!
Hop over to Quiltville to see other flying geese being sewn for mystery quilts, and then over to Patchwork Times for more design wall inspiration. Don't you love Mondays?!?

So pretty. I am meaning to join in on the fun over at Quiltville but I realized that I only had one black on white print in my stash. I need to get the store soon.

I was thinking yesterday dog ears would make a nice strata in a jar, thanks for jogging my memory!

Well done on your geese!

I love your geese. Mine are yellow and I only got 23 done but am so proud that I am working on the current step rather than being behind.

I love all your fabrics! Such great variety! I've thought about collecting the dog ears but haven't. Maybe it's time to start. :) They would be fun to look at!
I've said it forever, I do love Monday in Blogland!!!

I love it that you save those tiny scraps. I also have my scraps in jars, only bigger scraps :-)

Kathy, I love your flying geese...of course, purple is my favorite color so that makes me love them even more! I also adore your jars of dog ears!!! I can't think of any better way to decorate a sewing area, thank filling it with the colorful scraps left from our creative endeavors. though my sewing area is full of 'doo dads' from my past that hold a special place in my heart, I still try to keep a colorful jar of scraps on my sewing or cutting table, to enjoy. Hugs...

So many pretty lavender and purple fabrics. I can't wait until our quilts are all finished so we can see what the mystery turns out to be.

I love your flying geese. I have some odd purples that look blue next to another purple but purple next to a blue. I have seen somewhere that you can fill clear Christmas baubles with the dog ears for quilty tree decorations.

I'm still making Easy Street 4-patches, but tomorrow may be flying geese day! I love that you've saved the dog ears in jars! Will that be my next collection? Maybe!

Lots of purples. You have some very good ones to pick from.

Love, Love, Love your flying geese!!! They would make a lovely quilt all by themselves! I can't wait to work on mine. I'm still trying to get my four-patches done - too much traveling to get to it these past two weeks. It's always that way this time of year but I can't resist joining in :*)
