Because my design walls are covered in UFO's (I know, I know ...LOL) I had to use "the design floor". I was so close to getting these blocks together and knew that with some concentrated effort it could be accomplished.
Then look who comes along to "help" - the Granddog Max. He was so happy to park himself right in the middle of the action. I felt like the Grinch making him get off the quilt - click here to hear what I sounded like.
I have been sewing the rows together on my new/old 1952 Featherweight, (recently named Charity) which is sewing beautifully. Ahhhh... precision sewing on a quiet machine with a perfect stitch. Heaven!

Very nice design floor!!!! Like the quilt too...lol. Great colour
Your grand dog is so cute! He just likes to give his approval to your design, and be in on the action! Nice quilt too, by the way. Once again, Max steals the show!
Gorgeous! And your helper is pretty cute, too.
Ooohh Maxxxx!!! LOL
Love all your log cabins. This quilt is gorgeous!
my featherweight is about the same age as yours a 1953 - it is a quite machine isn't it - I'm glad I have mine working again. I have to use the design floor often too as the design wall is pretty full.
LOL, isn't that always the way? You're lucky it was just Max. When I try using the floor I get help from three cats and the dog. It's much easier to clear another wall. Charity and the quilt are gorgeous! I hope you have a GREAT day!
Love your log cabin blocks. So delicate and dainty.
love you helper
It looks like it might not have fit on a wall anyway. Love the Blue and Yellow combo! Gotta love UFO's on the design wall. better than in the totes. Shoo Shoo that granddog...
Pretty quilt, cute dog, and you can't beat a Singer, nothing like 'em.
Smashing quilt and amazing how you can catch a cat or dog, by simply laying down a quilt like that lol
I love the blocks. I will have to try a featherweight someday.
I love the purr of an antique machine. They sound quite different from the more modern ones.
Also love the little log cabin you are making. So pretty!
What a sweet little helper. The quilt is gorgeous!
Love your Log Cabin Quilt.
Looks so pretty.
Greetings,
Sylvia
Beautiful blocks, beautiful quilt top, and funny dog. I loved the sound, too.
Just beautiful quilt--hard to crawl around on the floor though--at least for me it is! hugs, Julierose
That is too funny about how you sounded like the Grinch--a perfect clip. : )
This is turning out so happy--and sewing on the featherweight is a delight, isn't it?
