Welcome to the weekly link up that celebrates the art of hand stitching!
Why not get your project out and enjoy some relaxation? Try not to think about your "to-do" list, or ruminate about your worries. Just take a stitching break and focus on pulling thread through fabric, or knitting stitches with yarn.I started yet another hand embroidery project this week. I found a design that I had printed a while ago from Days Filled With Joy blog. It's a free design she shares with folks who subscribe to her newsletter. I started with a little HOPE... who doesn't need some of that in our second winter of covid?!?
Ahhhh... that feels a bit better now!
For some unknown reason I am tracing only a couple of words at a time instead of drawing the whole design before I start. I think I might add 'love' or 'peace' as my next word. Thanks to Joy for this embroidery design that is perfect for me today!
What are you hand stitching today? We love to see your projects, so link up your blog or instagram post below and share your progress with us.

Hope.....a perfect word for these times of Covid. A little purpose, calm, and good health wouldn't go astray either. Enjoy your positivity filled, stitching.
I think stitching by itself brings hope and calm. I love this post.
looks like the perfect gratitude meditation when you work on it
This is a pretty pattern for stitching, just perfect for helping us go through out all that is happing in the world. Your stitching is lovely.
Have a happy Sunday and a great week.
enjoy your hand stitching - I have a little machine work to do first and then I will sit and stitch hexies and maybe crochet a little
I love your stitched words. Uplifting and positive! We definitely need to add more positivity into this world!
I hope your slow stitching brings you peace and joy today!
Love your word embroidery project. I would add the word "care" also. I have hand quilting, embroidery and a knitting project all sitting at my favourite chair. I do what I am in the mood to work on!
Hi Kathy, those a perfect words for any time but particularly these difficult times that don't seem to end. I hope that you don't mind if I linked up through Instagram. It's an update on last week's post, that I had forgotten that I had already posted. Have a great week.
I love embroidering words on items. I also like to monogram initials but that seems a little out of date these days. Happy Deep Winter Day to You, Kathy. Winter storm warning here in the Ottawa Valley.
That's a lovely message to stitch! Thanks for the link. Enjoy your slow stitching today, Kathy!
Great words, especially during this troubling time. It seems every other week the young grandchildren are out of school again.
What a great project to work on! Gives us a center in the storm.
I love words on embroideries! Glad you're finding meaning for your stitching moments.
