Quilting Bubbles

When I posted about quilting the borders on my UFO of the month, Missy suggested quilting bubbles. That idea sparked my interest and I was excited to get started... thanks Missy!

Why was this the perfect idea?
a) It's a fun quilting design that I know I like to quilt
b) It's a design that I hadn't sewn in a while and was eager to try again, and
c) It fit with the theme of the Storm at Sea quilt.
Perfect design!

Quilting the bubbles is going swimmingly - ha!
Get it... swimmingly!!?!
I tried to make a variety of sizes for the bubbles. The binding is ready to apply and an end of the month finish looks probable!

Seeing your amazing quilt under your needle actually finds me missing the days when I quilted on my Bernina DSM! Your Storm at Sea's fabrics are beautiful.

bubbles are often my go-to filler design, it's fun and easy and no right side up on them.... can't wait to see the finished one

Oh, you are so clever with your words. *LOL*
The bubbles look delightful, but I have to admit that I am fascinated by your FMQ foot. Don't think I have ever seen one like it!

What a great finish for your lovely Storm at Sea! I'm going to practice bubbles which will help me with making circles better! What is the name of the darning foot you are using? It looks like it a bigger circle than the one that came from my machine.

It really looks great - I have used this myself in the past but forgot how much fun it is and how good it looks! I will be using in again in the near future!
