On my design wall today is a baby quilt in development. My neighbours are having a baby soon and have decided to wait to find out the gender when it arrives. So this quilt will be for their daughter, or if they have a son, I will need to figure out something else!
I just cut up some fat quarters in 2.5" strips and sewed them around 4.5" squares. I ran out of the center squares and had to piece a few of the center blocks, but I am relieved that I had enough fabric to finish 30 blocks.

Very pretty for a little girl--hope you don't have to figure out something else!! : )
very pretty, fingers crossed they have a daughter
That quilt is adorable!! I love the fabrics you used. Let's hope for a girl! (By the way, very thoughtful of you to make your neighbors a quilt for their baby!)
Very nice - hopefully it is a girl! I like that you pieced a few of the center squares.
The baby will never notice the extra seams in the centers. Nice of you to make a quilt for your neighbors.
its pretty, such a simple block but effect due to great fabric choices. Have to admit to making a few baby quilts like this.
fun, quick and easy. Great for baby quilts that will actually be used in mho!

So sweet of you to make your neighbor a baby quilt...or I should say, 2 baby quilts~! LOL Hugs~
Baby quilts are so much fun to play with. And so quick! Hoping for a girl.
Aren't quilts for little girls so fun to make. I think you should get one done for a little boy, just in case though. You can always keep it for another baby in the future or give it away as a cuddle quilt!
Love the quilt. HOw about making the same in blues and use it as the reverse ( or the front if baby is a boy. A double sided quilt could be the answer xx
What a sweet baby quilt! I love easy quilts for when I need a charity quilt or...baby quilts! I'm sure this will find a home even if your neighbors have a boy.
Your neighbor is going to love it, so adorable
pretty!!!
I love this very easy baby quilt and use it frequently.
Love this simplicity of this quilt!!
