Are you curious about how many inches of binding you sew each year? In 2013 I kept track of my completed binding totals just for fun. July's report indicated that I sewed 2,261" of binding in the first half of the year.
Then I slacked off a bit :)
The second half of the year binding finishes are:
*July UFO - 280"
*Hexie Hop - 39"
*October Pumpkin Seeds - 74"
*My Peace - 104"
*November UFO 3 Sisters Grace - 228"
*The Accidental Quilt - 159"
Total for the second half of the year is 884".
So for 2013 my binding grand total is: 3,145"!
It's a good feeling to think about that accomplishment, so I think I will keep track of my binding totals again this year.
Plans for today include more hand quilting on my Journey of a Quilter... slow and enjoyable, just the way we like to stitch here at Slow Sunday Stitching!
What are you stitching by hand today? Link up your blog post below and share your progress, and your enjoyment with us!

That is alot, sheesh :)
I don't track binding, but do my thread (so I can order for the year). Your linky is triple post and I can't access.
Enjoy your slow stitching Sunday! Journey of a Quilter is stunning!
There's no WAY I'd keep track of binding -- it'd be too shaming! LOL! Perhaps if I were a more prolific quilter? Don't you love those wonder clips, though? They are my *fave*! Enjoy your slow stitching day! :)
Ps...I think it's hilarious. When I linked up, there were *three* linky opportunities showing on your blog. Whereas over at the stash report on Patchwork Times, there was none. It's either feast or famine this morning! :)
Those are incredible stats!! I am starting a quilting journal this year and I think I will use it to track binding too..thanks for the idea.

Kathy - that is an impressive amount of binding!
Wow - that's a lot of binding!!! At the risk of getting kicked out of the slow-stitching club, I have to confess I usually stitch my bindings down by hand unless it is a show quilt. I've learned how to do it so that you can't tell from the front and it is very neat on the back. Also much more sturdy for little ones! Otherwise I'd never get them bound :*)
Oh my! That's a lot of binding! Congrats on lots of jobs well done!
Wow! that is a lot of binding! I was hoping to do binding today, didn't quite happen. As I keep running out of thread, maybe I should track my yards of thread! LOL
That's a lot of binding and a lot of stitches! Do you even wonder how many stitches we have taken in our quilting lives? I do - I bet the number is staggering! Thanks for the linky party! Love it.
"enjoy the journey"
i seem to be reminded of this everywhere i go just lately~!
love the idea of keeping track of your quilt achievements by calculating binding lengths~!!
thanks for hosting Kathy.

That's lot of binding! Hope you got to sit and stitch. Once the dryer dings, I'm heading to the sewing room!
I'm amazed that you have kept track of the inches of binding you have done in the past year. Good for you--that would contribute to a feeling of accomplishment to have the actual numbers.
That's a lot of hand stitching.

I so enjoy your slow stitching Sunday reports. I am currently hand quilting a blue and white quilt and hand piecing another. So, it's definitely slow stitching over here. It's nice to know there are others that enjoy the process not just the finish.
owo my, never thought about how many inches of binding I sew during the year. It is awesome your grand total number for 2013. There was no Slow Stitching Last Sunday for me, as I traveled and went to the wedding of my grandniece. Hugs
