3" arrowhead blocks on design wall |
I finished sewing the 14 mini arrowhead blocks I cut for blue month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I enjoyed seeing them on the design wall and it reminded me of the full size blue arrowhead quilt I finished earlier in the year.
In case you want to sew some blocks the free pattern may be found here and alternate size cutting instructions can be found here.
I started another new scrap project this week - Bonnie Hunter's new leader-ender challenge called Easy Breezy. I'm a big fan of her leader-ender concept and you can read about the previous challenges here.

Have fun with the new project! The blocks are really cute. Happy stitching!
Great blocks. I love this years leader and ender block. So fun.
thanks for the pattern - I am inspired by your projects
love your blocks
I’m trying the Easy Breezy blocks too! I haven’t done just blue this month, but that may be the road I’ll take for the rest of the year. I like your Arrowhead blocks too. But I think the link to the pattern may be broken. The alternate link seems to work, though. Thanks for the info.
Love your mini arrowhead blocks. I tried making one, but it was too small for my hands. I posted my blue waffle blocks to So Scrappy's link. I posted it twice by accident. I'm blaming that on my 'condition'.
Your Arrowhead blocks are always fun to see, Kathy! I like the Easy Breezy blocks, too- they are definitely easy to make out of the leftover bits from everything else!
I keep thinking of making some of those Easy Breezy blocks. Yours look great in Dark BLUE!!
Love all the little blocks, and so much blue/white. Wonderful!
My leader/enders have to be so much more simple than this--pick up two pieces, sew them together. I can't keep track of colors and patterns on leader/enders. I must be one brick shy a load!
Oh, yeah...I like that system for cutting for blocks. Waffles and Easy Breezy are tempting. Already made Waffles but there may be an Easy Breezy someday in my future. Small size, of course!
I have been sewing up wonky stars that you showed me at our piranha weekend last year. A system of cutting up scraps....haha a system to fit them into the blocks or projects you are working on...either way it is a good thing!!
I've been admiring your amazing little arrowheads! I've got the instructions bookmarked, but haven't taken the plunge yet!
I'm knee-deep in 1.5" squares, too! Seems like most of the projects I'm working on call for them, so I'm cutting them by the dozen!
I love the secondary chain of ovals made by the arrowhead blocks!
Sounds like a great system! Anything that uses scraps up efficiently is a win in my book :)
I decided to make some of Bonnie’s blocks too! My 2” scrap box is too, too full, and I’m afraid my blocks didn’t make much of a dent!
Love your Arrowhead blocks and the Easy Breezy blocks. I'm joining in with Bonnie Hunter too but not coordinating it with RSC. Maybe I should ...
