Miss Molly on the Mountain Trail
Miss Molly had a photo shoot on the "Mountain Trail"!
Which is more beautiful...
the quilt or the dog?
It's a toss up in my opinion!
"Show me the treats or I ain't gonna smile"!
"Is this a dog photo shoot with a quilt background, or a quilt photo shoot with a dog in it"?
Miss Molly wants to be (and is) the star of every moment!
"If you don't start giving me the treats, I'm going back to bed! Hand 'em over"!
"I love this gig!
I get to wear a spiffy new red bow, get a few treats, and I'm sitting on a quilt...woohoo"!
Molly has done so well with recovering from her surgery in the summer. A large tumour was removed from her left eyelid, and you can't even tell that they resected the eyelid back together...amazing!
Finished Mountain Trail:
*24" x 29"
*Design and instructions by Lori at Humble Quilts
*Fabric - Vintage Modern with a red Kona path
This is the backing, but you can't see the feather quilting very well.
Maybe you can see it in the photo on the right?
Bottom left corner of the mountain trail.
Thanks for the fun Lori!
Can't wait to see what we're sewing next...
no pressure!

Beautiful job. I hope you paid your model in lots of doggie treats. The feather quilting is awesome.
Miss Molly looks very spiffy with her little red bow tie! the quilt is very nice as well!
I agree, it's a toss on the true star of the photo shoot! Both are looking very cute.
what a great photo op! great model too. didn't realize the quilt is SMALL, it looks great!
Awwww.... beautiful quilt and Molly!
Oh, my goodness, she is adorable! She is the epitome of what we call "puppy dog eyes". The quilt is very nice too!!!
It wasn't until I got to the bottom of the post that I actually saw the quilt. I have to admit, Molly was the main focus in the other photos. She really is a pretty dog and looks like she has had a good recovery. Now back to the quilt. I can't image the work that went into making this pattern. Lots of little pieces and all those cornerstones butt together flawlessly.
I love your version a lot : beautiful choice of fabrics, wonderful quilting and adorable picture. XXX
Looks great. The feathers are wonderful!
I love the colors you used, and Molly was a great model with her red bow!
She's on her way to a new career, maybe? The little quilt turned out darling.
Miss Molly is definitely the star of this photo shoot, LOL. She is adorable!!! The quilt is also gorgeous...I love the pattern and your fabric choice couldn't have possibly been better. Still, Miss Molly stole my heart in this one. Hugs...
Miss Molly and Mountain Trail compliment each other very well. Both are so cute!
Beautiful quilt. Quilts are even prettier with dogs I think. Glad she is doing so well, her eye looks great.
OMG! I love it and the modern colors and Miss Molly!!! It's perfect in every way!!
Your quilt is really pretty and your model is adorable.
I have at least a photo or two of my Lhasa Apso on just about every quilting project I've ever worked on. Sadly, he died very unexpectedly a few months ago and it's been a heartbreaking time adjusting to him not being around--he was either on my lap or within a foot of me nearly 24 hours/day since I brought him home when he was only 6 weeks old. I've been working on the final bits of hand piecing on a huge tumbling blocks quilt which he spent many hours laying on as it was puddled around my feet. I found some of his long hairs attached to it and intentionally stitched them into the seams.
Love that Mountain Trail! I need to get more pictures of my dog on my quilts, although my Cooper looks about as happy on a quilt as you Molly! I'm thrilled she's doing so well after surgery, you would never guess she went through it.
Your Mountain Trail Border is Beautiful and I always love a quilt with Feathers. You did a great job on the QAL. Nice to finish another one before the end of the year. Turquoise and Red are so striking together.
I wouldn't dare try to choose the most beautiful!!! But Miss Molly sure is cute!!!
cute post and wonderful quilt.
