My quilting goal for the month of October is to finish a mystery quilt that I made in a class 2 years ago. Here is the class with our teacher Deb on the left. This quilt wants to be finished and I have the backing fabric and am excited to get quilting.

Yesterday I sewed this cute block for the Moda Stitch Pink sampler. I'm not using pink, and I'm not even starting the new project. I'm just going to make a few of the interesting blocks to add to my Aurifil sampler to make it bigger. There will be one block pattern posted each day in the month of October, and I hope to make 9 of the sampler blocks.
Are you joining in on the Stitch Pink project?

It's nice to get an old quilt quilted, looking forward to seeing it quilted. Your block is very pretty (I wouldn't have used pink either) but I'm not joining the sew along and I'm not even going to download the blocks. I already have too many free projects saved and it's gotten to the point it's overwhelming. Happy stitching!
The quilt is lovely, and I'm sure you'll be happy to have it done. I am busy with Autumn Jubilee this month.
Lucky you to have taken a class with Deb. Saw some of her work years ago when she was the designer in St. Jacobs upstairs at the church during the quilt festival. She does lovely scrappy work. Pretty blue block....good luck with your monthly finishes!
Hi Kathy,
What a great idea! I made the first block too just because I liked the design with absolutely no idea what I am going to do with it. I like that is is a 12 inch block and I have bunch of that size that perhaps someday I will make into a sampler quilt. Me being the "rule follower" that I am I didn't even think bout making it in something other than pink! :D Maybe I'll make another. LOL!
I just read about Stitch Pink and I'll be doing it the way you are. Love your blue block!
Oh dear... I would like to join in on the Stitch Pink.. but I shouldn't!!! xx
Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.
