Slow Sunday Stitching

Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party!

We are having spectacular fall weather here this weekend. This time of year is visually beautiful with the golds, reds, yellows and oranges, it's the perfect temperature to enjoy stitching outdoors, and fall even smells delicious to me!

We are enjoying some of the flowers that are still in bloom. This is my hand embroidery project. I started the line of blue thread above the word 'chocolate' but decided it was too much blue, so today I'll be taking those stitches out and selecting another colour.

And I will also be hand stitching the binding on my September UFO. I am so excited to have this quilt almost finished and just love stitching the binding. So it's going to be a great day with my favourite stitching in my favourite weather on my favourite day of the week!

I am slowly getting to be friends with the new blogger system and finding out what I can and cannot do with the new program. I was delighted that the link up worked last week, so hopefully my good luck will continue with today's coding. We would love to know what you are hand stitching today. Link up your blog post below and check in on your slow stitching friends to give them a little encouragement.

Happy Stitching!

Lovely weather you're having! I'm ready for the rain to clear out, the temps to dip, and color to hit the trees! Have fun stitching your binding: my favorite part! :)

The colours are beautiful where we live too. I did lots of binding stitches this week too...400”! Can’t wait to see your finished quilt. Have fun stitching your chocolate embroidery today...I hope there is a chocolate treat for you as well while you stitch.

I love your chairs by the water - do you find trouble with biting insects or do you have the area treated - it looks so peaceful

I like the backing fabric for the quilt. I don't mind the blue line above the "chocolate", but I look forward to seeing what color you choose. Enjoy the fall weather, colors and stitching!

Your view is spectacular! It would be so relaxing to sit in one of those chairs and stitch for a few hours. Our weather has been nice (and the air breathable!) so I've been sitting at the table in the backyard for my stitching. When I'm out there it feels like my own little oasis where the laundry, dishes and other household tasks are not calling to me. Have a great week!

Congratulations on your your September UFO - just about done!
I love your chocolate embroidery. I'm looking forward to sitting down with some embroidery soon. Enjoy your fall weather!

I should be hand stitching binding down on a baby quilt, but it's going to be 85 degrees today, so that might not happen. The blog post looks perfect. I like the font size. Keep at it, you'll forget all the frustration in adapting in no time.

Sorry you have to take out all those stitches on the embroidery project. Hopefully that goes quickly. Enjoy your slow stitching today.

Hi Kathy,
Your seating by the water looks so comfy and restful. Love the chocolate embroidery...hummm, what color to use. Getting to the binding is my favorite part of putting a quilt together....it lets me know the quilt is almost done. Have a great stitching day!

Hello Kathy. We have just about the same fall weather just now, and it's difficult to find time to sew. But with some hexies a day my work will still grow. Have a nice new week!

What a glorious place to sit, enjoying the colours that Fall gift you, while you stitch. It does sound as if you will enjoy the perfect day. Enjoy!

Your stitching is so pretty! My daughter gave me a suggestion with my own tea towels. She suggested I print the designs on paper and play with colored pencils. Who would've thought?
I hope you had a fun stitching day in such a beautiful environment!
