The UFO goal for September will be to finish my Home Grown quilt. This is a Nancy Halvorsen pattern and was made from a kit purchased at Cherished Pieces. I don't usually make quilts from kits, but I fell in love with this one and finished the quilt top last fall.
Since then it has been hanging on my secondary design wall, where it has been covering up the dreaded Indian Orange Peel disaster! I really want to finish this lovely quilt, so I'll need to find something else to hide the dreaded IOP (or maybe finish that one some day!)

This is a lovely quilt, so very pretty. Get to it girl! Then I think I would just finish the Indian Orange Peel to get it off the wall. Think of the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment when that quilt is a flimsy!! You'll walk around the house floating on air and high 5ing every one in sight!!
An irresistible quilt kit indeed. Bright and cheery. It would be an enjoyable stitching project either by hand or machine.
Seriously? You have had the IOP quilt on your design wall for 10 years??? It's like me having my doctorate in my face every day for 8 1/2 years and not finishing it. But your blocks are more colourful than my notes and words. Maybe Erika can help finish it.
What a cute quilt with lovely sayings. Don't worry, I have quilts that have been waiting to be quilted for 16 years! Humm

that does look like a need to buy quilt kit - good luck getting it done
I don't use kits, but I must agree that this one is lovely. Wouldn't mind making it myself.
Always have loved Nancy’s art and quilts. Good luck with your goal—you can do it!
IOP but don't you mean "Chompers"!! It will get done in time. Love this quilt! I didn't know the Cherished Pieces was a store front now. I saw a video the other day on facebook. I thought you could only order things from them.
The Home Grown quilt is really cute and cheerful. I agree with Gretchen that you should just bite the bullet and finish the IOP. I don't know how much is left but if you worked on one section, block, or whatever a month and made that part of your monthly plan, it would get done. Sort of like leaders and enders. Think of the relief and the design wall space and you'll always remember what year you finished it.
