It's Sunday and you know what that means... it's time for the weekly hand stitching party! We hope you will pick up your needles and thread or yarn and start making some stitches.
Blogger has switched over to the new system and I'm learning how to blog again.
I know some bloggers have managed the change very well (I'm looking at you Barbara and Lyndsey!) but most of us are struggling, and some are experimenting with other blogging platforms. So bear with me while I see if an old dog can teach herself how to do the tricks that she used to know how to easily do. I have already learned that we can't click and drag photos like we used to do to place them where we want them. See, I am trainable!?!
And if you are a blogger who is struggling, don't give up! Keep trying and just keep posting, no matter how weird or incorrectly formatted the blog posts turn out to be.
This is what I'm adding stitches to this morning.
This is my fourth Stitcher's Revolution tea towel. This saying is perfect for the week in which the blogging world was forced to change to a new system. We are not quitters, so let's keep stitching and blogging (and drinking tea and eating chocolate!)
Let's see how it goes with posting the linky party... here we go... if you see the link up and if you can link your blog post and share your hand stitching project, that will be awesome!

Tea and chocolate will help you fathom the new blogger....perhaps. =) There are a few tricky things about the new interface. This old dog hopefully can become au fait with it sooner rather later. Happy stitching!
I managed to link up Kathy, thanks so much for hosting the Slow Stitching linky party each week. I really enjoy seeing all the beautiful hand made creations from around the world.
I admit I'm not a fan of the new system but let's face it I'm 'if it's not broken why change' it kind of girl! But the saying you are stitching sums it up. Happy stitching!
I switched over back in June to give it a try the went back and forth a few times to figure things out. They kept changing the new platform but I think it is easier now than when they first changed it. Yes, we old dogs can learn new tricks. Thank you for hosting every week.
I have partly learned how to use the new Blogger. I was going to ask you how you managed to get your title in the pretty large font. I have yet to figure that out. Of course, they keep changing and adding things that make it even more challenging. I love the towel you are working on. I've never seen either that chocolate bar nor the chocolate mint tea before. Enjoy the snack and the stitching.
I miss being able to load all the photos, and then pick and choose where to put them as well. You are doing great with figuring it out. Thanks for hosting this linkup! I look forward to it every week.
Tea and chocs--how perfect to go with stitching...
New Blogger is a puzzle for sure...I cannot keep my single spacing choice in place--have to re-set it constantly and photos--are willy nilly in the middle...;000
Still working on my x-stitchery butterflies...
hugs on a coolish Sunday here Julierose
Each time you write a new post, you'll feel more confident! Fingers crossed for you! :) That's the perfect saying on your tea towel!
I need to get back into the hand work - even one day a week. Just busy finishing up that huge pile for the year. I waited right until I could no longer use the old format so they (mostly bloggers) could work out the bugs. My first big post using it will be tomorrow.
Yes, please keep posting! It's just another k2020 blip. LOL! I'm thinking your tea, chocolate, and stitching is the way to bear it all!! :)
I switched back when it was first offered and it hasn't been too bad. A few things are better and a couple are still a bit odd. They have fixed several of the oddities so at least they are trying to make it user friendly.
Meanwhile, you are all kitted out for a great Sunday!
I tried Blogger when I first started, but switched to Wordpress (yup it costs me) but at least I have control over most of the changes. Keep on keeping' on Kathy - we all love your posts! For others - hang in there - it will work out! Bloggers posts are so important to all of us! Keep us inspired to continue on with a project, or just sharing life, or sharing all the new BOMS, etc. And the Linky parties - they are worth a million dollars - it is a great way to share our hard work!
Have a great Sunday!
Always thatsomething changes, and we have to let our confort zone is difficult, but things are just they arem and we need to be update
Your embroidery is just perfect. Enjoy your tea and cholocate as you make slow stitches this Sunday.
Well since there are quite a few people linked up, I guess that's one hurdle you managed to jump. Keep at it, I'm sure it will get easier as you use it more. I so enjoy seeing everyone's projects.

You have picked the perfect snacks to accompany your stitching today. Happy stitching!
Well done...yes posting those photos is the one hiccup I have. Looks good though and glad you kept blogging...who else would I stalk!! haha
I kept switching back to the Legacy version, but they locked me out for good now, and I can't stand it. I did muddle my way through it last night though. I think I am on my 6th one of those Stitcher's Revolution tea towels now.
Hi Kathy,
I am slowly learning the new blogger...I don't like it, but I'm not going to quit either. So I can totally understand your tea towel message...have a great day!
Glad to see you encouraging others to keep at it. So many bloggers have just given up and quit. I am happy I have been on Wordpress since the beginning of my blogging life, but even it has its challenges. Everything has a learning curve, hang in there. I'm working on a wool applique, but you'll have to wait to see it next month.
I am one of those who are struggling - so many things are harder, and many don't work the way they are supposed to. You did great! Photo and a linkup can't be easy. I am glad you aren't a quitter.
