Design Wall Monday
I am just sneaking in under the deadline for a Monday posting. Here is what is on my design wall today...six Allietare star mystery blocks are finished. That's about 1/5 th of the total number I need to sew.
Wow that's a lot of gold! But it will be split up when it's sewn together with all the grey in the alternate blocks, so I'm not worried about how it will all come together yet.
Just keep sewing. Just keep sewing.

I was so happy to finish sewing the Allietare Star Blocks I had ready. I re-counted and need to make a few more but will see if I can make a big enough quilt without them. I'm leary of all that GOLD. I have til the end of the month to get it to Flimsy. Hope Bonnie has one more Linky. Take your time, hope you are feeling better.
You are doing well
Even 'tho yellow is my favorite color, it is also the most dominant color, and can "drill holes" in a quilt. So I try to limit yellows and golds. Since you've done only 1/5 of the gold blocks, have you considered setting four of them in the four corners, and substituting a warm beige in that spot for the rest of those blocks? Keep on quiltin'. You are making great progress and your color combinations are beautiful
This block is new to me, just when I've think I've seen every star block imaginable. Great job!
Lookin' good so far! Can't wait to see more!n
Oooh so pretty--I especially like those gray alternate blocks against the main ones--hugs, Julierose
Mine is still sitting on the back burner. Got the units done and got bored with it and had some other deadlines to make. Will get back to it soon!
That is a lot of blocks to make!
I have absolutely no problem with the gold in your quilt. It makes a warm, glowing statement. IMHO a quilt never has too much gold! : )
Beautiful blocks. Those golds are going to warm up all the grays in your alternate blocks.
