Welcome to the Slow Sunday Stitching party where we celebrate all types of hand stitching including cross stitch, embroidery, hand piecing, knitting, crochet, rug making, english paper piecing, applique, hand quilting, etc. If you are creating something with your hands using needles and threads, we want to see what you're making!
I have not taken a single stitch by hand this week. I got distracted with some summer reading, a challenging 1,000 piece quilty puzzle, and an episode of gastro intestinal distress (sorry about the TMI!) While I continue to recover today, I will take some stitches in my next embroidery block. The photo taken on the finished puzzle doesn't really show the design but I will be stitching a chicken.
What are you hand stitching today? Please link up your project below and share your slow progress with us!

A quilty puzzle would be a challenge and also fun when a piece is put into place. A good book is quite relaxing to read in the summer months. Enjoy the stitching process while you recover from your "episode."
That puzzle looks as if it was really hard! Hope you are recovering ok and enjoy your stitching today.
Oooh, I like that puzzle. Enjoy your chicken stitching. Hope you are feeling better.
Wow, that is quite a jigsaw puzzle! Looking forward to your chicken stitchery. Thank you for hosting Slow Stitching Sunday!
congrats on finishing the puzzle - I don't have the patience for them and have rarely ever sat to work on a puzzle
The quilt puzzle looks challenging. Hope you get to feeling better soon, and can get back to stitching!
Hope you are feeling better soon. Hope it's a slow and relaxing Sunday for you.
What a lovely quilt puzzle! :-)
I love puzzles. They are so satisfying. Sorry about your tummy troubles. Glad you're feeling better.
Puzzles are very addicting. A quilty one would be extra fun
Do hope you are feeling better now and recovering enough to do a little stitching. Gastro upsets are not fun, are they?
Hope you bounce back from your little TMI !!!
