Scrappy Saturday

Dark blue is the colour of the month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I have been working on a new quilt I started in a class last month. The blocks are called Anita's Arrowhead and they finish at 9". Here are the first 30 blocks on the design wall.
A beautiful sea of blueness!
This isn't the layout. It's just the block collection so far. I'll probably make double this number of blocks because I love it, I have a lot of blue fabric to use up, and I want it to be a bed sized quilt.
I'm also making a mini version of this block which I showed last week. Those blocks finish at 3".
Hop over to the weekly RSC link up to see what the quilters are sewing with their blue fabric scraps!

I made a quilt with blues and neutrals in an effort to deplete my blue stash....it didn’t work but I do have a quilt that I love to put on my bed! All of your blues play very well together. Those Anita’s Arrowhead blocks are quite slick to put together.

This is so visually striking, and the beautiful blues are soothing at the same time! How many blocks are you thinking of putting in your mini?

Don't those arrowhead blocks go together quickly? I love how efficient they are. I've made two quilts with them. Love yours in that blue and light blue combo.

When I saw your post I thought HOLY COW, you were super busy on the blue this week. Then I realized that you started this project last month. But HOLY COW... you have been busy. They are BLUEtiful!

That quilt will be a stunner. I love that block and printed off the instructions (and your size variation notes) a couple weeks ago when you gave us those links. I think both my cousin Kim and I are really interested in giving it a go. Thanks so much for sharing!

Oh, how gorgeous! I've been admiring your blocks and have now added that quilt to my (now almost endless) list of Someday Quilts!

You are definitely singing the blues! And it's a wonderful song! I made a couple of those blocks a few years ago because I loved them but decided I didn't like making them so into the orphan block box they went!

Very pretty in blue. You did really well in getting all blocks made. It's going to be another fun scrappy quilt.

Nice block and an ocean of blue! Great way to use up all the blues we seem to collect!
