Scrap Squad Starburst

The full story about my lastest Scrap Squad quilt called Starburst has been posted on the Quiltmaker blog - click here to read it. I was tickled by Diane's note at the end (she's the editor). It really is a wonderful feeling when people acknowledge and appreciate the difficulty of a task you've tackled.
I will post more photos tomorrow of all the Scrap Squad versions of this quilt, but for now I wanted to remind myself of my binding accomplishment for November.

Starburst was my only finished project in November. The perimeter of the quilt is 256" and when added to the total number of inches of binding up until October which was  3,453" ...

gives me a grand total of 3,709" with one more month still to go in the year. I have already beaten my 2013 total of 3,145"!

This was a stunning quilt - miles of bining - but oh, what a fantastic change to the original.

Clapping for you. I think that took a lot of brain power to switch it up. Proud of you for seeing it through to the end. For me it probably would have ended up as a UFO. I just saw that pattern in a magazine I got from the library... off now to check it a little closer to see just how you did that. Though I am not as brave as you ..... I may have to follow the pattern : ) Janita

Beautiful work, Kathy! Love the color scheme and the design--especially with your personal twist to it.

Your new home page quilt is even better than the last, and the combination of 'comfy' colors with traditional design causes me to take a pic with my iPhone so I can review it while waiting someplace. A rich mix.

Starburst turned out beautifully, your color palette is gorgeous. Congrats on exceeding last year's binding totals. You've finished a lot this year.
