June's UFO is done!
I couldn't be happier with this finish!
Once I had the layout decision made with the two half candle blocks, it practically finished itself!! Well...not exactly :)
The blocks were made by machine applique, and then sewn together in the "Quilt-as-you-go" method.
Isn't it cool how the sun is shining through the dots where the stitches are?
Isn't this a great photo of the finished quilt? It measures 30" x 30" and is called "Shattered".

I love this so much - well done Kathy x
Looks great! Isn't it funny how we love to make something with the leftovers rather than finish the original project? I do the same thing!

A beautiful finish, Kathy. So appropriate to see the sun shining through this stained glass piece! : )
Love this!!!!
I've kept this quilt/technique in mind as I've been sorting through my crumb/scraps while cutting units this month. I certainly will have to attempt one after seeing how beautiful yours turned out.
Such a beautiful stained glass effect! I can see why you are so happy with the result!

What a happy looking quilt. I still have the method for doing the blocks that you showed me. Maybe one day!!!
