Pieces of the Quiltville mystery (Indigo Way) are covering every surface in my sewing room. Sometimes I wish I was the kind of sewer who could just do one step at a time. Cut all the pieces, sew all the pieces, press all the blocks, and then trim all the blocks. But I just can't do it because I get bored, and also because my hands hurt from too much cutting and trimming all at once.
These are the blocks for step #4, and are not set in the correct layout at all. I have sewn 6 sets of blocks for this step and have many more to go. Don't you love pinwheels?!

I do thé same thing …cut a little, sew a little, press a little, trim if necessary, rinse and repeat! Your blocks are so pretty. I loved the picture of you and your Dad from yesterday’s post too. Have a good week.
I'm with you, it's hard to just work on one part at a time. So like you, I've got various pieces and partial blocks stacked by the sewing machine. The pinwheels are cute, wonder if that's one of the subunits?
I could have written this exact post - about me! I can't seem to work on just one step or even one project at a time. LOL Your fabric choices for these units are terrific!
It's fun to see the pre-arrangement of the mystery units. I don't speculate, though--I just plug along until I get all the units made. Two more clues, I reckon.
Although I am not playing along with Bonnie's Indigo Way, I work the same way you do. It's one of the reasons I love Angela's RSC so much. I get to work on other things during the month. I wanted to get a quilt to the flimsy stage so I had to do a lot of the same blocks for the last 3 rows. What a humdrum! Anywho! I love the colours in your mystery quilt. Enjoy! ;^)
