Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party!
I encourage all of my Slow Sunday Stitching friends to really enjoy stitching today - with no distractions, interruptions, or multitasking. None. Turn off all the devices and intrusiveness of the world, and just enjoy the sound of your stitching. Wouldn't it be great to enjoy some peaceful stitching, even if only for a few minutes? Let it be just you and your stitching, your threads and needles, and your creative thoughts.I finished my little Retreat Round Robin quilt this week and enjoyed hand stitching the binding and the label. I love the Paducah backing fabric!
What are you hand stitching today? We love to see your projects and hope you will link up your instagram or blog post below.

I hope that I can do just that but I fear family will descend and there won't be a lot of stitching going on but I will try! Well done on completing your quilt and I love the Bee brave embroidery. Have a peaceful Sunday and thank you for hosting.
I love the block that you used for Bee Brave. It is perfect for your pretty embroidery. I hope you have a great stitching day!
Your Be brave star is so pretty, Kathy.
Congrats for the round robin finish, can't wait to see this one
Enjoy some peaceful stitching today.
Thanks for the weekly reminders to slow down and breathe! You always have interesting and beautiful projects you are working on!
I will turn off some of the devices but I am listening to an audio book so need that one on while I sew hexies today! if it is not windy I might even be able to sit on the porch this afternoon sewing!
Just love Pat's design there...anything with bees gets me. We all could use the balm of slow stitching these days. Thanks for the party, Kathy!
Bee brave sits beautifully in that block. I did this embroidery during lock down and really enjoyed it. Have a lovely peaceful day.
I love how your Bee Brave design is turning out! Enjoy your hand quilting!
I made that little Gail Pan block too. Great idea putting it into Pat Sloan's quilt block.
I have no plans except stitching today. I am not leaving the house to run errands. I saw something on Facebook this week it said "Turn off the news, go outside, breathe. You were not meant to carry the burden of the entire world". Happy stitching!
I love this block, Kathy.
While I don't do much, if any, hand embroidery these days I do much machine embroidery. Which leads to my question of how you will quilt this entire block. Will you quilt in the embroidered part or not? This is always a stumper for me because if left unquilted, it will sag.
Would love to see your finished piece.
Yes Keitha I will do some hand quilting in the embroidery block so that it doesn't sag. Probably quilt around the text box, around the hive, and up the stems. My finished quilt will be posted in a week or two hopefully!
Hi Kathy, I hope you got lots of stitching done today. About the only thing I did this weekend, stitching wise, is to write a blog post....so...nothing. Hopefully next week will be better. Have a great week.
Such pretty projects! I have extended my Sunday Slow Stitching to the entire weekend. On Friday afternoons I clean and oil my machines and turn them off. Thus far, I'm loving it. It helps that I'm home during the week. Take good care!
Your green and black round robin quilt is such fun. Those colors really work well together. Hope you were able to get in lots of stitching time.
