Rumour has it that Google is removing the old email subscription system (Feedburner) in July, so I'm trying a new (to me) system temporarily to see how it works. The new system is called "follow.it".
If you have subscribed to my blog in the past and enjoyed receiving the updates in your email, you will need to resubscribe. You can find this on the right sidebar where it says "Get new posts by email". Of course you can always read the posts directly on my blog. I haven't figured out how to transfer the old subscribers over to the new system. I'm sorry if you get lost in the change over! It will take some effort to make sure we continue to stay current with the blogs we have enjoyed in the past (if they have been able to keep up with all the blogging changes in the past year!)
Another thing that has changed recently is how I make face masks. I made another batch from a Riley Blake panel that I bought at Cherished Pieces. The improvements in my mask making 3.0 is 1) the polypropylene filter, 2) the nose bar, and 3) the adjustable elastics around the ears. Very comfy!
Here is Mom with her smiley face mask. The reverse side says "Be Kind". Oh, I just noticed that the wedding photo of my Mom's mom is right over her shoulder.... cool photo!
And here is Dad with his handlebar moustache mask.
I double dog dare that Delta Covid Variant to pass through these masks! The fit is snugger than any paper mask I've worn yet.
Are you still making and wearing masks where you live?

We are the only people still wearing masks where I live but then I have two household members who do not qualify for the vaccine so we are being extra careful here. Thankful that my local quilt shop is all topped up on vaccines :)
Got to keep the ones we love safe!!!
I made a lot of masks last year so no longer making them also you can buy boxes of the blue masks now in the stores - I do wear them more than one time. Mask making is not a favorite thing of mine to do. We are vaccinated, however because of so many reluctant people that are not getting their vaccines and the Delta variant going crazy in Arkansas right now we are back to mainly staying home and wearing our masks again when going to the grocery store and other stores if they are crowded. If a store is small and there are barely anyone in them I don't wear the mask and hope my vaccine is as good as promised.
I'd already put you on my follow.it list and so have been receiving duplicate posts. There seems to be a time lag with Follow.it, but I get them eventually. I'm in western NY and I'm fully vaccinated, so we had pretty much stopped wearing masks except where required. I think, though, that with the rapid spread of the Delta variant, the increase in breakthrough infections, and the low vaccination rate in our county, I'm going back to mask wearing for grocery shopping, which is basically the only place I've been going.

Thank you for your information! I added the follow me gadget to my blog as well! I've also resubscribed to you. Here in Southern NM, USA, masks are not longer mandated, but we still wear ours. At least for the summer, I'm converting to paper masks as they seem much cooler. Take good care!
You bet I am wearing a mask. I live in Missouri where people don't believe in vaccinations. I re-signed up for email.
I haven't made a mask in months, but I have to wear one frequently, since we still have to wear them at medical facilities. My client (I'm home health care) is getting chemo, and we're at a medical facility 3-5 days a week. I still have some, that haven't worn out yet, so I can change them out frequently.
Haha so funny
Not making them anymore but still wearing them when I am out in stores and businesses. I only made a few in the beginning.
I'm still making and wearing them and will continue to do so. Have you heard about the "Quilts for Survivors"? I don't have Facebook any more so I can't find the address to send the blocks to. I was hoping you could help me.
