Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party!
Last weekend I attended my first zoom wedding. While I was waiting for the ceremony to begin, I was knitting another facecloth. Although I was thankful to be able to watch (and they did a great job of ensuring that the virtual guests could see and hear everything) it was hard to not be there in person.
I did finish this knitted cloth for my friend Louise for her birthday. I'm always thrilled when you can actually make out the pattern. There are a couple of mistakes, but you can see the letters, and make out the shape of the flowers so I'm very happy with it! This is another pattern from Knitwits and made with Sudz yarn.
I also finished hand stitching the binding on my May placemat this week. So it has been a productive hand stitching week, and I don't know what I'll be stitching today.
What are you hand stitching today? Link up your blog post and share your project with us.

The wedding was in an idyllic setting beside the river. It looks lovely. How sad that you could not attend in person. Wonderful though, you witnessed everything via zoom. Your friend, Louise, will be happy with her sweet dishcloth. Love the wording "friend" and such a pretty colour blue.
You knitted a pretty wash cloth for your friend, it is really cute with those flowers and the Friend word in it.
Hope you can find something to Slow Stitching today.
Happy Sunday.
It is a shame that you could not attend the wedding in person. At least you were able to see it. I pray that all stays open through next April when my son is getting married as it is across the country from us. I really like that washcloth.
Great wash cloth!
I am so impressed with the detailed workmanship in your cloth. I am not a knitter, so to me this shows lots of talent on your part!
I am glad I didn't have any ZOOM weddings through our shutdown. I was able to attend one wedding but masks and social distancing was required. It felt very strange to be unable to hug the bride!
We have attended one zoom wedding during the pandemic. The other wedding we were to attend has been put off until next year. Your facecloth looks great. I started a new knitting project this week. It has some new to me stitches which I am learning through YouTube videos. I will post a picture next week. I’m binding my yellow and gray quilt today. Im sure you will have no problem finding a slow stitching project for today.
It looks a beautiful setting for a wedding. Great cloth, you can definitely see all the details!
I only tried zoom a couple times and can't say I cared for it all that much. Glad you were able to see the wedding though and I know you all will be so glad to get back to life as normal when you get your vaccinations.
That is a neat facecloth - perfect for working on while on Zoom! I'm glad that worked out for watching the wedding. Hope you enjoy some slow stitching today, Kathy!
What a wonderful gift for Louise, I know she will love it.

I think I am going to completely relax out in the backyard with my knitting today. Such a beautiful day.
Hi Kathy,
Lovely face cloth. I envy anyone who knits...I've tried
over the years and just can't catch the hang of knitting.
I'm putting the binding on one of my quilts. I so enjoy
doing the binding my hand. Have a great day!
What a great face cloth. I love the fabric on the back of the place mat!
Hi Kathy, I'm glad that you got to attend the wedding virtually. That facecloth is so cute. Have a great week and thanks for hosting :-)
A zoom wedding--well that is one way to be there! Love your knitted cloth. I'm ignoring the binding job laying on the cutting table ....
Nice cloth and a pretty color, too.
You have certainly taken off with your knitted projects! I, too, am glad you could at least see the wedding via zoom, but understand about wanting to be there.
