Scrappy Saturday

Progress is being made on my Economy Path quilt.
The vote on last week's post was overwhelming positive for layout C, so that is how the blocks were sewn together. There were lots of other wonderful creative ideas shared, but I didn't go down that rabbit hole. I wanted to finish the quilt and I know myself well enough to recognize that layout indecisiveness makes my quilts head toward the UFO closet!
I quilted a very simple stitch in the ditch grid, and put on a grey binding.
Don't you hate it when this happens and your binding strip is just slightly too short? UGH!
I added another strip and finished sewing down the binding, so hand stitching the binding down will be tomorrow's Slow Sunday Stitching project!
Hop over to the RSC weekly linkup to see more projects moving toward completion.

I need to get busy on binding this weekend and get the machine stitch part done so it is ready for the hand work - I guess that means I better get this table cleaned off first!

Congratulations on your almost finish! The binding is my favorite part - perfect for a Sunday of slow stitching!

Great quilt. Well done for finishing it. 😊

Did you have some of same fabric for the binding? I’ve had it happen both ways, some I could match and some I couldn’t! Even if I thought I measured well! **sigh**

It’s beautiful! Well done avoiding a rabbit hole and neglected quilt. I always cut too much binding fabric. I’m too paranoid about running out and not having more of the same fabric, so usually I have an entire extra strip, sometimes more!

I hate running out of binding as well so I tend to err on the side of having too much binding..
