Today I am enjoying one of my favourite hand stitching activities - quilt binding. I finished the quilting on my January UFO and am hand stitching the binding and label today. What are you working on today? Anybody else trying to get their OMG project finished up for the end of January deadline? Definitely on the home straight! You WILL meet your January target.
I think it is always nice to work on your binding as you know your quilt is just about done and ready to use
I LOVE sewing the binding down, I just hate installing the binding LOL. I think it's the hassle of managing the bulk of a big quilt on a small machine (I sew on a vintage Singer Featherweight on my dining room table.)
But I need to do one that's been quilted since the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Procrastination needs to cease!

I love hand sewing the binding on a quilt. It’s very relaxing and every stitch brings you closer to the finished quilt. Have fun sewing today. I am about to head down to my sewing room.

I finished my hand stitching of binding a 72" square quilt a few days ago--boy, it took me forever to sit down and get it done! I much prefer machine stitching my bindings, but agree some quilts just call for it. Enjoy your week, hope some warmer weather will be headed your way.
