Are you sewing the Quiltville mystery?
I lagged a bit behind the week of Christmas, but since my holiday company has gone home, I've been peddle to the medal and have caught up with all the parts to step #8.
Well, to be honest, I did start another quick New Years Day mystery in the middle of sewing Ringo Lake, but I'm back now and focused on finishing step #8.
Here are my first 4 lovely blocks... total swoon! Each block has 49 pieces... that's a lot of precise piecing required and a lot of points to not chop off!
I am loving my colours and these blocks! Yum!
The grand reveal was posted on January 1st and it is a gorgeous quilt! There is a lot of sewing for me between now and a finished quilt top, but I'll keep at it.
Unless I start more projects in the meantime. It's hard being me! LOL
Happy Friday!

Your blocks have come together really well. It is a lovely design
You are right yum!
Kathy.. I LOVE your colors!!! We are prepping to move so my stash is packed to make this mystery a reality but I have printed each clue so I can do it in my new sewing room :D Good luck getting this into a top... what size are you making yours and will you machine or hand quilt this one when it is a flimsy?? Hope you are staying warm up there while sewing! Kathi
Looking good Kathy! Love your last line....it's hard being me ROFLOL!! I can relate!
Looks terrific, Kathy! Love your color choices!
I love the meme. The fabrics you are using are so pretty and work perfectly in Bonnie's mystery quilt. I look forward to seeing the finish.
Your blocks are looking great! I am very envious of everyone who've been able to start putting things together, I'm still stuck at Clue #5!
Very pretty! Great color choices :)
Your colours are very pretty! Soft and subtle just like you....NOT!!! I want to be working on mine but I have another project that needs finishing first!!
Very pretty Kathy. Did you trade out the corals for golds? I've never done a mystery of Bonnies because I am chicken.... of the mystery part. I like to see the finish before I start. I know that is part of the adventure.... I should trust Bonnie but sometimes I want to use different colors. It is hard to start the new year and not want to start something new. So many fun things on the radar screen. Trying to be a new woman this year and get things finished at a faster rate so I don't feel bad starting something new.... wish me luck. This might be tricky at age 59. Janita
Yummy blocks, Kathy, agreed! Yeah, me and precision are not always pals. Good luck on having the lowest number of chopped off points per block!
It's fabulous! I'm working on it as well after a few years off from it. I still have units to piece, but it's my OMG for January, so hopefully I will have a completed top by the end of the month. Enjoy!
I really like your color choices. I skipped this year's mystery and I'm glad. I didn't really want to use Bonnie's colors, but I have a hard time picking different colors when I don't know what the pattern is. Good luck getting yours to flimsy stage.
Pat
Very pretty, I like your colors, can't wait to see the finished quilt.
Oooo--those are yummy colors!
LOL I think it would be hard being you. Aside from having to maintain all of your wonderfulness, you have to stay on top of a bazillion rainbow scrap projects and mystery quilts. Whew, it must be exhausting!!
these are beautiful! :)
Your blocks are so pretty. I love seeing all the different shades and colors everyone is using to make this quilt. Hope you can stay focused _ ha!
I do love your colors - they really look good. I will be awhile on 50 blocks
Your blocks are beautiful. You're about as long as I am in this mystery. It will take some time, but itæs worth it. Good luck!
Wow! I really, really love the colors used in your blocks. Awesome! Very well done. ;^)
I'm so glad Bonnie gave us the Rapid Fire Clues since last Friday. My day was spent assembling more blocks. I hit the Half way Row on the Design Floor. The sashing are crazy, watch your placement. I copied the Merry Mayhem New Year Mystery. I will make it later. Monday in a Link-up and I have Quilt Guild Tuesday. Pedal to the metal and Quilt Yoga going in Walla Walla. Your colors are great.
I love your colour selections as well. I can certainly see using this block design in more quilts - I really like it a lot.
I love your version! I've watched the QAL but didn't do it this year, but have the clues downloaded...
