Friday Frenzy

It's a frenzied friday. So far today I have totally lost a blog post, cut a finger (I don't even know how) and dropped a knife on my foot (no blood, but a huge bruise). What is going on?!? Hopefully that is the end of the excitement today, and somehow the day will morph into a fabulous friday!
I have been working with photo transfer this week. I take hundreds of photographs every month and like to use them in many different ways. What I do not want to have happen is that all my photos sit in a computer and are rarely seen/enjoyed.

I am transferring some photos onto fabric to sew into a quilt. The product I am using is called Printed Treasures and it is so user friendly. The not user friendly part is getting my old computer to hook up to the new printer, but that's a whole other problem.

This is the size they need to be, and you can see that the seam allowance is going to be too wide and white on some sides. I am thinking about how to solve that problem.

In the meantime, I hope not to injure myself again or lose anything!

Well, if it is true that trouble comes in threes, you've had your three and now you can move on! : )

Have fun with the photo transfer project. Is it part of the Scrap Squad? I have only made a photo quilt once. The Lady I made it for had the photos printed at Staples.

I can't wait to see your finished project. I enjoy photo transfers. I agree with Janet, trouble comes in 3's, so you must be done for the day!

Oh my be careful!!! We have our photos on our computer set to be the screen saver and it plays as a slide show. Our computer is hooked to our large screen TV and it is usually on so it is like ever changing art on our wall of family pics and other things(quilters gone wild for example) ;)

WOW I hope you have no more injuries. Can't wait to see how your prints all come together in a quilt.

I always have problems printing photos on my printer so unfortunately I don't have any helpful tips for you on that front! And they say those sort of bad luck incidents happen in threes so you should be ok now!

I always have issues with printing onto fabrics. And I agree with you - most often these days photos just sit on a computer. Once upon a time we used to put photos into albums, and I so enjoy looking through my old ones. I keep meaning to print some off an update my albums. Looking forward to seeing what you do with those photo prints.

Goodness--it seems some days are meant to be spent in bed--where it's safer--lol!

I hope your day gets better! I have thought of doing that with some pictures for a quilt for my husband but my printer does not have a high quality when printing pictures.

Fun photos, they are going to make a dynamic quilt. When I make photo quilts, I usually end up framing the photos with over-wide strips, then I cut the framed shots to size. It just makes it easy to handle multiple sized photos.
