The same thing is on my design wall as has been for the last month. It's the UFO project for last month, which was extended into this month. The on point border is finally finished!
I had to extend the side borders by 1.5" so I put in an extra square on each side hoping it is not too noticeable.
I am happy with it and may add another 1.5" blue border before starting the quilting.

I could live quite happily with that on my wall if your fed up of seeing it?
lol Its looking great, love the edging that which way round!
Your border looks great! You are well on your way to finishing this UFO!
Beautiful. It can be frustrating when a project takes longer than what we anticipated. But it if spending extra time turns the projects into what we want, then it is worth spending that time. When I try to hurry up a quilt to just get it finished, I usually end up not like it. You will always be glad you took extra time. I hope I make sense. Can't wait to see how you quilt it.
Way to go girl! Wouldn't have noticed the extra square at all.One more small blue border I think would finish it off nicely!! How was the shop hop. I am sure pic are coming in a blog post!!
Look at you go!!! I do like the idea of another blue border, it will make those blocks float. You'll have this one finished soon. I just know you will. :)
I had to really search to find the extra squares. Blends so well. Great job!
Looks great Kathy! I knew you would figure it out.
Gorgeous quilt, love that border.
I like how you turned the corner! The tiny squares making the turn too. I can't see any extra squares. Glad you got it to flimsy! The extra border will make it just a little bigger. Great Job!
I love this quilt! The border is perfect for it! You amaze me!
Had to hunt to find that extra square on each side. So NOT obvious! Great solution, and who will notice if you don't tell? : )
How exciting you got the borders on. I wouldn't have noticed the extra squares but of course had to look when you mentioned them! Nice job.
The extra square is a design element! I often add a final strip when the outer border is pieced. It provides stability. It also ensures that the binding doesn't intrude on the pieced border. I'm sure you'll be glad to get this finished!
Hah--if you hadn't said anything I would never have seen the extra square. I had a hard time finding it anyway! Good job!
I could look at this quilt all day long and never tire of it! Beautiful and cheery!
It looks fabulous! Love all those bright colors, there are so many patterns that catch your attention and lead you all over that quilt.
