You know it's bad when....

I forgot that it is FNSI tonight! Did you sign up? I totally forgot until this morning. I'm blaming Max and his cuteness.

I have been putzing away on my Countdown to Christmas project this week and would like to make some progress on it tonight. I haven't finished sewing the 24 star blocks, but do have them all cut out and ready to sew.
I also started strip sewing the 140 four patch blocks, but ran out of the background scraps I was using up, so will have to look for some yardage to cut into to finish cutting that step.
I have been sewing at the kitchen table while I keep an eye on little Max ("housebreaking" always seems to take forever).  And he has already trained me not to let my strip piecing hang over the table. Come back here with my 4 patches!

Well, the little furry creature is barking again. Time for another run to tire him out. Well, I won't be actually running, but he will be! We bought him a little sweater to match my sewing project... not really, it was just a coincidence!

How could anyone not be totally distracted by that furry ball of concentrated cuteness? My daughter is not allowed to see these pictures, ever!

Who has time to quilt with such a cute ball of fluff running around in the house? I love the picture of him "helping" you with your 4 patches.

oh my GOODNESS...I love cute dogs! What kind of dog is he? Makes me miss my granddog! We had him for 6 months last time and a year the time before that. Good thing: DD will not deploy again. Bad thing: no Chewy visit!

I think you need a NEW, kitchen trash can to put behind your machine (or treadle) to catch your string piecing. Then the puppy can't get to it, and no one gets in trouble. Oh yea, braided pieces of fleece make a great chew rope. Braid it, then put big knots on either end.

You crack me up Kathy! I'm still on the fence on making that one..... I may jump in IF I can get two quilts quilted this weekend. Hmmmmm the kids are at Grandma's on Sunday for the whole day. Should I quilt.... or spend time with the hubby? I'll get one quilted in the afternoon during his nap at least =). Off to go pin the second one just in case....

I've yet to start my Countdown to Christmas, and I don't have any canine distractions! Your little stars look great.

what a darling puppy! We have just welcomed at Malti-poo into our lives. House breaking is proving to be an issue. She is just 4 mos. old so I know we have to be patient. It's so much fun having a little furry girl in our lives, we lost our Boston that we had for 13 years a year ago. Love your blog and all you do to inspire us.'
