Halloween treats

From Quiltville

Did you have a fun Halloween?
The weather here was miserable - cold, pouring rain, windy. We hardly had any trick-or-treaters, which means lots of leftover candy for us!

My daughter dressed up Miss Molly as a bumblebee for Halloween. It was hilarious for us, but Molly was not amused. However she did enjoy her treats!

With all the candy treats I have to take care of, I will have lots of energy for my fabric treat - preparing for the new Temecula mystery!

Rained here too and we had no visitors either. I don't remember having any last year either when the weather was ok so I guess they just skip our street.

Very wet with gusty winds here and very few children Trick or Treating. Our neighbourhood has grown up but there are occasionally new families with younger children moving in.

The mystery looks like it will be a lot of fun!

Since our move to the country 30 years ago we never have trick or treaters. I do a very little decorating (just because I made some Halloween quiltlets)but do enjoy seeing what other's do.

No one ever comes to our house. We live in the country where you have to drive from house to house. About a dozen years ago they started doing a Trunk-or-Treat at the church parking lot, and that ended whatever trick-or-treaters we may have received. So we spend the evening with our grandchildren, where the houses are close together, the children are plentiful, and the doorbell never stops ringing.
Miss Molly makes an adorable bumble bee. : )

You're right cute but not impressed. I actually had 9 kids at the doors which is a big improvement over other years!Blustery and rainy here ...a good day to sew or better yet hand quilt under a flannel quilt!
