Scrappy Saturday - Blue

I am making progress with my blue rainbow scrap challenge.  I unpicked the rotated block I sewed incorrectly last week (top row right side) and joined the rest of the blocks together.
The quilt top is now 5 blocks across and 7 blocks down, which was my goal with this project. I really love it now, and would make it larger if I had more of the light fabric (because I have a lot more blue scraps to use up) but I am down to small bits of the light.  I will admire the quilt for a few days and think about border options. Any ideas for me???

Beautiful Job -- can't wait to see what you decide for the border!!

Your Blue quilt is wonderful...the purple really brightens it...great job.

Wow, I love the optical effects you get with this quilt. You did a great job. I'd probably go with a thin light blue border and then a darker wider one on the outside. Or if you have more blue scraps to use maybe a checker board border?

Kate said EXACTLY what I was going to say! What OPTICAL ILLUSIONS!!!!! And her border suggestions are almost spot on to what I was going to suggest; although I'd also like to throw out the idea of a small purple inner border (rather that the light blue or in ADDITION to the light blue?) and then finish with a wider dark blue outer border.

Gosh---that is COOL!!!

Absolutely love this quilt. The purple really sets it off well.

Love it!

Nice but it does play tricks on the eyes. Good thing whoever gets this quilt will have their eyes closed when they are sleeping under it.

This is very, very nice. Why don´t you use up some more of your blue scraps for the border?

Wow...this sure makes your eyes jump...If it was me, I would use a darker color for the border from the quilt.

Your quilt top looks great. I think maybe a purple inner border with a darker blue outer border might look good.

What a fabulous quilt top. I love the way it turned out. If you still have a lot of blue scraps, a piano key border would look great. Anything to use up more scraps!

LOVE IT!! I'd go for no border, just a dark blue binding ... another idea to throw into the mix :)

OOO Kathy - I LOVE THIS!! I would add more blocks if it needs to fit a larger bed, if not wrap it up :) I like Helen's suggestion of no border and dark binding.

This is a fabulous quilt! I've been studying the quilt and I don't think I would add a border. I too like Helen's idea.
