Design Wall Monday #26

This is what is on my design wall this morning. These are my blocks for Clue #4 of Judy's June Mystery quilt. I think they would make a lovely quilt on their own if they were a little scrappier, with more colours :)  Clue #5 should be posted this week and I hope we get to find out what will become of all the other pieces - flying geese, pinwheels, etc.
Click over to Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times and see what other quilters are working on this week.

I have to start on the June Mystery before June is over. You're on a roll getting your blocks all made waiting for the next clue. Nice CANADA flag on your header!

I want to do this mystery quilt but the last one I did took about five years. I finished it over the weekend LOL

Oh yes!! I'm hoping tomorrow brings some enlightenment to what the final product will look like :0) Can't wait for step #5!!!!

And I agree 100%. I am a HUGE SUCKER for any "irish-chain-looking" quilts. I LOVE diagonals!!!

Hi Kathy. Thanks for the comment on my Block Lotto TicTacToe progress.

Erm, I think I should probably admit that because it's Block Lotto winnings, most of the blocks were made by other people and I just won them. All I'm doing is arranging them and sticking sashing and cornerstones on them (not entirely successfully if the criterion is matching corners)!

The tricky bit was done by Sophie of Sophie Junction blog who runs the Block Lotto - she came up with the design (as she does every month).

I have a horrible feeling I'd be even worse if I had a kit or pattern to follow!

It's probably quite rude of me to reply to your comment, then go off and read your blog posts. I really must learn to do both at once!

I adore your 18 yo UFO finish. And it's really interesting to see the auction and the classes you teach and the groups you belong to. You are so prolific! I am so pleased I found Judy's Design Wall Monday posts, I'm learning so much just from reading the participant's blogs.

I am also very interested in the rotating cutting mat - I didn't know you could get ones for patchwork (I just use a green selfhealing one) never mind ones that turn so you don't have to disturb the block to trim all sides. Bet they haven't reached the UK yet though...

Wow, you are on track with the mystery quilt - and I am absolutely certain it will look beautiful once finished! Happy sewing!

I really like this by itself! And I agree...a scrappy version would be great! :0)

I was very excited with this block, too, Kathy. Can't wait to see how it is going to fit in with those others we already made. It would be a great scrappy project block, I agree.
