Square Dance Mystery

The next step for Carole's Square Dance mystery quilt has been posted. I am making a chocolate flavoured lap sized version of this mystery. Last month we sewed the nine patch blocks and this month is another easy step sewing rectangles together.

It was a lovely relaxing afternoon of sewing these rectangles together. The top batch has a light fabric with darks. And the bottom batch has mediums and darks.
Don't these look good enough to eat?!?
Now we have to wait a few weeks for the next step, which is a great pace for a mystery. It allows so many other projects to be worked on in between.
Are you dancing along with the Square Dance mystery?!?

You should participate in the Chocolate 9 patch TOBE on Treadle On. You've been busy. I just read all your posts for the past 10+ days (I've been out of town again, and didn't have any time to read blog posts). I also have sewn a stitch in over 2 weeks, slow or any other kind.

Great progress, and thank you for the comments on the pace. I do like giving lots of time so quilters can use up scraps and get a new quilt without a huge commitment. Looking good!!

Oh, yum! Great fabrics for the mystery! I'm sewing along, too. My colors are dark blues and greens, with yellow and pale blue for the lighter colors. I'm really curious what the next step will be, since the sizes of the pieces don't fit together yet :)

I'd be afraid I would wake up from a nap and find I was chewing on this quilt!!

Love the rich chocolate color you've got mixed in with the pinks and tans.
