This was just one of those weeks that needs to be over. You know the kind ... too much stress, too many worries, too many activities, not enough sleep, and no quilting time.
Miserable really.
I did enjoy making a few batches of "super soups" which is a fun activity for me. I am a terrific soup maker and fearless with combinations of odd ingredients, much to my family's chagrin sometimes! This should get us through the cold and flu season. This batch was spinach and broccoli which is one of my favourites, but the kids will only eat it if there is absolutely nothing else in the house to eat!
And tonight there is a full recovery expected with nothing on the agenda except quilting!

sounds yummy I too love making soups carrot and swede is very tasty and now add some coconut milk at the end which makes it even tastier.
Sounds very healthy. Happy stitching
Glad your hard week is over. I love soup!
I love making soup, too. I tend to stick to a few favourites, though. I should branch out a bit. Yesterday I made a pot of cauliflower soup for lunches...nothing beats a cup of soup to sip on in the afternoon, :) I use the immersion bkender to make cream of cauliflower soup without needing any cream. Just an onion, a head of cauliflower (or broccoli or whatever), & a box of chicken stock.
Don't you love the unforeseen requirements and lovely interruptions that take away our quilting time. Grrrrr.
Enjoy the time you get today.
Sounds delicious, my husband would never eat it either though.
Hope the weekend help you recover from last week. I hate weeks like that.
I wouldn't eat that if you paid me, hahahahaaaa!!!! I really don't like greens! I hope it fuelled you up for a better week to come :) x
