My first UFO goal for the year is the same as my goal for the November and December of last year. UGH. I just can't give up on it now because I am making some progress, just not fast enough to finish within a month. Or two. Or three.
This is the most recent photo of machine quilting panel #2 on my Votes For Women quilt. Each panel has 14 blocks. I stitch around each block in the ditch with my walking foot, and then put the free motion foot on and quilt each one with a different design. I'm almost finished quilting half of the blocks on this panel.
Could this be the month that it becomes a finished quilt? I hope so!

With long-term projects, you just have to keep hoping they will be done... EVENTUALLY!!! Keep plugging away at it.
I know what you mean--my long term Connor's quilt goal is to get it pin basted sometime in this millenium LOL all kidding aside--have to get "crack-a-lackin'" on this one...my first goal for 2017...just keep on keeping on...hugs, Julierose
Good to repeat the Goal. I had to dig deep into my 2013 UFO to choose my UFO for January. Making Blocks is so easy for me. It's the sashing and quilting that hold me up.
I'm rooting for you!
Your colors are fantastic. Are you doing the next one with Barbara too. I have some fat eighths I am going to use for it.
I love making the tops to quilts, and binding them... One day I will learn to do that middle step instead of sending the off. http://quiltlovefordomesticfelicity.blogspot.com/
Everyone believes that machine quilting is faster...NOT!!! Hang in there friend, baby steps. It will be done when it is done!
Is this a quilt as you go project?
Looking fabulous Kathy... hope you are able to count this as a finish later this month!
More power to you - it's such a lovely quilt.
I'm sure your progress will soon be such that there will only be a few blocks left to finish! I know you can do it! Eat more chocolate to help!
You can do this. Keep telling your self that and eventually you will finish it! lol.
Just work on it a bit at a time, then switch to something else, to give yourself some rest. It will get done.
Good luck finishing your quilting. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal.
Love this 💖
It's going to be such a gorgeous finish. Progress is progress even if you don't get it finished this month.
Very pretty block, keep going Kathy, you can do it and you'll feel so good when it is complete.
The important thing is you are making progress, and it will be a beauty when finished.
