Bowtie Swap

Did you catch QuiltCam last night? If you missed it, you can watch it anytime from the archives. This is where I was sitting while I worked on 4" bowtie blocks.

These are for a block swap that Barb is hosting. We are exchanging blocks made from muslin, and civil war reproduction prints. These first few blocks are looking kind of dull. I must add in a few cheddar blocks, or maybe some red ones to spice it up a bit. I finished about a dozen, so I only have about 70 more to go!

Cute blocks, the only bow ties I've made were for a sampler. Someday I'd like to make a quilt with all bow ties. Have fun with your swap!

Bow ties are just so classic with muslin and civil war prints - these quilts will all be stunning.

So far I have all of the fabrics in the bow ties you have made. It will be fun to see everyone's blocks and what you get in return.

Oooh... I like this idea! It would make a great leader/ender project, too.

I did the Leader/ender a few years ago with Bonnie. I sew you commented right after I did on QuiltCam. I got my stitching in while I watched. Sometimes I just sit and Watch, this time I really did something.

Beautiful blocks--I don't think they are dull.

I hope to start pressing and cutting for mine next week.

you have so much more going on over the pond, we do not get stitchy things on tv here except for create and craft and that is more a selling channel than a learning one

I rather like them, they look classy. I'm with Margaret above, in the UK we don't have craft channels. You are lucky!

That's a lot of blocks. The first 4 look great.
