Slow Sunday Stitching

This is where I'll be sitting!
It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada, which means a long weekend full of thankfulness and lots of stitching time... (well, that's what it means to me!) This week I machine quilted my scrappy rail fence quilt, and everything went so quickly that I was able to finish the scrappy binding and get it on the quilt.
This is what I'll be doing!

So today I will be reveling in my favorite activity of hand stitching a binding... the perfect Slow Sunday Stitching for Thanksgiving!

Today and every Sunday, I am so thankful for this little online community of Slow Sunday Stitchers. I learn so much from you and enjoy visiting your blog and seeing what you're stitching.
What are you working on today? Link up your hand stitching blog post below and share your project with us!

Looks like a little piece of Paradise! Your quilt, and your picture of your quilt, is stunning. If you entered the picture in a photography contest, I'm sure it would win! I love this time of the year. Thanks for capturing the moment!

Happy Thanksgiving! I watched you make that Rail Fence and I love it. What a great use of scraps plus it looks rather vintage.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend Kathy! Enjoy your slow stitching on that binding. I was explaining your Thanksgiving and our Columbus day to Aidan yesterday....and to an employee at work last week! He had no clue.... you can tell I was raised near Canada to know these things. =)

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Although sunny here, you would need that quilt to do any stitching outside just a little chilly! I think I will stay indoors and finish my jobs and join you a little later for some slow stitching!

I love hand stitching the binding, too! Awhile ago my Bernina dealer tried to sell me some new binder contraption so I could bind all of my quilts by machine, and I must have looked at her like she was nuts. I'd just as soon buy a machine that would eat my chocolate ice cream for me!
