It's Friday and you know what that means?!?
A new block for the Marcus Designer Sew Along!
I finished sewing block #2 yesterday and it was as fun to sew as block #1. It was tricky to get the HST's going the same way as the pattern. And even as I posted the photo on my blog, I rechecked again because it doesn't look right - but it is right!!
I don't know if I'm liking that reproduction green (read more about the 'ick' greens) but maybe it will grow on me?
Block #3 (of 9) will be released today over at Homestead Hearth.

It kind of has a Halloween feel to it!
Oh love it...I happen to like 'ick' green!
Looks good
I still haven't chosen fabric yet
My plaids are working out great...
Ick green is not so bad! Going away sewing with my friend this weekend, will post late on Sunday so you can see what we were up to!
What a great block! And I love the green!
I am still resisting. My busy time for the Fair is this next week. Thank you for the link to the info on the ICK greens. Are these the same as Poison greens?
Lovely - I, too, had trouble piecing units as I just thought it was not right - wanted to change that layout so much!
Personally, I like the green. : )
This is such a unique block--it intrigues me. In fact, it ALMOST made me decide to SAL!
Your block one is cool while block two is quite warm with the green. Maybe you just prefer the cooler shades of colours. Block 2 looks great.
That is an unusual block. I can see why you had trouble with the HSTs. They could make you dizzy!
Great block. I love the green, course I am partial to green. It's my favorite coloe
Fabulous and love your fabric choice!
Ha! You did a great job on it Kathy! And the fabrics play very well together. My Hawaii Sunset has that "ick green" in it too, very hard to get used to... but without it the quilt would be boring!
You can`t go wrong with green in my eyes and I love orange and green together, good block must check out how to make it
The green really makes the orange pop.
