Celtic Solstice Mystery Update - Step #2
Step #2 of Celtic Solstice is finished at Kathy's Quilts!
The chevrons were so fun to sew. The units were time consuming but not difficult if you pay attention, which I didn't always do.
This is a great layout... I can envision a whole quilt made from just these units alone.
Here are 100 chevrons!
In little piles and then transferred for storage in a spinach box with all the units from part #1.
And now... on to part #3.
Pinwheels...how much fun can one quilter stand?!?!
I am cutting 2" strips with the Easy Angle ruler. These fabrics look pretty together but I am a little worried about the lack of contrast in the blocks. We shall see how it goes. It's a mystery!
Tonight at 9 pm is QuiltCam so guess what I'll be sewing?!? You can see more mystery quilt link ups over at Quiltville.

Love your chevrons. Quilt cam tonight! Me too!!! Whohoo!!! I finished my pinwheels, but only did a few of the chevrons. Hope to get caught up tonight. Keep on going. Can't wait to see how those colors go together. I bet they will be beautiful!
I love the look of Chevrons on a quilt! I'd never heard of Quilt Cam, so I checked it out. I'll be going back there...how fun!
uhh fun layout design
kathy your Celtic Solstice quilt layout design is just fantastic beautiful work kathy's quilts very crafty.
Just sew those Chevrons together and call it good! They look great! : )
Looks awesome so far!
Your Chevrons do look great!
I'm ready for Quilt Cam.
hugs
Your chevrons have great contrast, so it probably isn't a problem that the pinwheels don't. It will be fun to see how Bonnie puts all these pieces together!
chevrons looking great and can`t wait to see your pinwheels, they are one of my favourite blocks
I only have 24 of my 100 chevrons made and about the same number of clue 1 done. But today I am going to make the HSTs and then go back to making the others. I had to send for a new set of the rulers (mine must have decided to play hide and seek). I am making the smaller version but it will be Spring before it is a quilt, I am sure.
Your chevrons are fabulous! Im impressed with all of you who have kept up. I haven't finished one clue yet! LOL I'm very curious about tomorrow's clue.
Wow! Great job of keeping up.
