Slow Sunday Stitching

It's Sunday!
Time for rest, renewal, and relaxation.
And how best to achieve this?
For me, it is hand stitching.
This past week I discovered (via the LibQuilters) another wonderful BBC show called "The Great British Sewing Bee"
It's kind of like Project Runway, only with regular people who are sewing enthusiasts. I enjoyed watching the first episode while doing some hand quilting, and can't wait to watch the next episodes.
My favorite quote from episode #1 was from Tilly :
The last thing you want to do when you're hand stitching.... is panic!

You can click here to read more about the Sewing Bee or watch the episodes on YouTube.
Today I hope to be sitting outside hand quilting - for the first time this year. The forecast is SUN! Woohoo!
Link up your hand stitching blog post below and share what you are working on today.

I plan to sit on the terrace and stitch. That show looks interesting! I hope it allows others to enjoy the peace and joy that sewing brings. This world sure could use more of that!

It is a beauty of a day here already at 9am. Laundry is on the line and I am headed to our quilt show to work. The handstitching will have to wait for this evening, when I know I will need some unwinding time!!

Enjoy your hand stitching in the warm sunshine. We are hoping for a bit of that sunny stuff here today. It'd been very dreary and cold the last few days.

What fun! This will be a great series to watch - thanks for the head's up! I recently discovered a new PBS series called The Bletchley Circle about 4 ladies who served as code breakers in WW2 and decide to solve a murder mystery. It's pretty good too :*)

What a hoot!! Love the sewing bee show with regular sewers like me. Glad I do not have to put zips in my quilts. Weather here is fantastic today--lots of sunshine. Yeah!!

Thanks for the tv show idea (s including the The Bletchley Circle.) I'm finishing a crochet blanket and will begin to hand stitch a binding down.
