Hugs and Kisses Blog Hop

If you are new here, welcome to Kathy's Quilts! Make yourself at home, look around (not in the UFO closets) and enjoy your visit.
Who could resist a Hugs and Kisses Blog Hop?!? Not me!
That is exactly what the world needs more of, and we are thankful to Madame Samm and CheerleaderJane for helping to spread the love!
Here is the love quilt I made for the hop, in soothing pastel colours...

The pieced heart blocks are 1.5" and the quilt finished at 10" x 11.5". I love the little sparkly heart buttons I found for the corners (at Triangle Sewing). I machine quilted some hearts and loops in the border, which you can maybe see a little of in this photo.

And here are some chocolate kisses to go with the love quilt...
one kiss for every heart!

If you would like to be in the draw to adopt this little quilt that I am calling "Spread a little love", just leave a comment. I'll draw the name of the new owner on the weekend.

Here are the other bloggers that are sharing their quilty treats today...spread the love and leave them some sweet comments!

I Love your conversation type hearts !!!!!!! That is always more my idea of Valentines day, rather than red roses, but they're pretty cool too!! Pastel candy hearts, mmmmm!! Your little quilt is sewwww cute!!! Hugs & kisses for sharing your wonderful project !

Where did you find those buttons? They are perfect for your Heart Quilt! As for the "choppers"' I would try to work on it at least 15 minutes a day...I had a similar project that had oodles of pieces. It sat and sat. I finally got it finished days before the entry deadline at the County Fair. Do you have a fair or quilt show coming up? I just bet if you finish it and enter it, you'll walk away with a blue ribbon!

Kathy, I love this little quilt! Are the hearts on the blocks appliqued, or pieced? At first I assumed they were pieced, but when I looked at your header with the quilt on top of your blog, I thought it might be applique...

What a sweet quilt, Kathy. I play Scrabble with my 83-year-old mom once a week and her favorite treat while we play is a handful of Hershey's Kisses. In fact, we call them "Scrabble chocolates".
If I am lucky enough to win your little beauty I will keep the quilt and take the kisses to my Mom. : )
