Design Wall Monday #4

I finally finished the first part of step #7 of Bonnie's mystery quilt.
I don't know why these 30 blocks took me so long to make! I just putzed along, happily sewing the blocks and listening to Pat Sloan's radio podcasts
I have also been working on the 600 HST's as a leader/ender project.

Although I really like pink, I must admit that I am feeling "pinked out". I feel the need to put this project away and play with some other colours for a while. So I put all the little bits and pieces into baggies and put it in the cupboard. I have 1 more week to finish up my January UFO, so I'm going to focus on that. I would also like to get more organized and locate all the UFO's that I put on my wish list for this year, so I will have a better chance of finishing them!

Your blocks look very lovely! I am also still working on that quilt. I have put it up for a little while, those 600 HST's were taking my life! LOL! I did get them all done but I really needed to take a break before piecing them together.

I can see why you're getting "pinked out," lol.

Your blocks look wonderful. I've been working on my quilt too. I have the blocks put together and the green border on. Now I'm working on the pieced border. These quilts are going to look good when finished. Can't wait to see yours finished.

The 600 HSTS stopped me from starting the Bonnie Hunter Mystery this year. TOO many other UFO's! I like the PINK.

What fun!

It may be a lot of pink, but it is a very pretty quilt. Mine is in a box, waiting for it's UFO number to be pulled, although I've been sewing on the paper pieced units, trying to do 2 a day.

Wow you are well on your way to having that one almost finished. I know how you feel and need to put away for awhile. I only did 12 blocks and 240 HST's and that just about did me in.

Congrats on your progress. I just got my RRCB top sewn together last week. It's waiting for the quilt machine to get free. I got to work on my #6 though....this one is about killing me.

I put a quilt away last year just because it wasn't playing well with me. But because of my list of UFO's, it is the next one to come out and get attention. I don't do Bonnie quilts because of the large number of LITTLE pieces she uses. ;-)

I like all the pinks you used but not being a pink girl, it would be hard for me too! Great work, though, on getting all those hundreds of pieces where they are supposed to go!

Yikes, I know, one week for the UFO finish. Mine is ready to be quilted, thankfully!

I am taking 3 of Bonnie Hunter's classes this weekend, I might be Bonnie-ed out by Tuesdsy!

I do like the pink, even though it is not a color I am used to working in.

I like the pink. I should use more of it :) I fear looking at more mystery patterns....but I can't resist the link. Thanks

Love your blocks, but understand your pinked out feel. You inspired me to finally get started on RRCB myself since I just finished my UFO # 6.!

Oooooo....so pretty laid out like that! I think you're post has inspired me to take some action on this mystery again before IT turns into a UFO! :0)

Very pretty all laid out. Good luck on getting your January UFO finished.

Your blocks are beautiful. Today I sewed half square triangles...and more....and more. I believe I have all 600 finished. I sewed a row of them onto my block and they were upside down, so I pulled out the seam ripper and tore them apart. I'll start fresh again tomorrow morning. Thanks for the inspiration.

I like the feel of your pinks; strange how one person's stash look completely different from another even in one color family. Great work so far on the project. I can understand needing to working on different projects at once. Just have fun quilting, whatever project you choose.

Love the colors you chose. I think pink is great, but then again I have not been staring at it each day LOL
