Quiltville Mystery

As most quilters know, the annual Quiltville mystery has started and the second step was posted today.

Quiltville mystery step #1
The first step was easy and quick...  a few HST blocks in pink and neutral.

I am making my mystery using all batik fabrics, and I had forgotten how much I enjoy the unique waxy smell of pressing batiks, and the crispness of the blocks... YUM!

Step #2 is flying geese, which I really enjoy to sew!

Yep, I'm stitching along too. Flying geese sometimes go awry even with her Essential Triangle tool. But far lees than the Flipped Square method. Which method are you choosing? Happy Mystery Friday!

I’d like to know which is your preferred method of making the geese too.

Your pieces are turning out great. I am looking forward to joining you soon, but I am going to get a late start on this QAL because our basement project start date got pulled in two weeks!

I like how your neutrals have a pink tinge too. I cut out last week's but didn't sew any! That's OK, now I can sew up everything at once.

I decided to at least start these and did about half the HSTs, but they have to be a L/E for awhile until Christmas is over.
