Slow Sunday Stitching
Last week I attended a work related conference and of course I took along my hand quilting. I set my tools on a chair for easy access, and then was captured by how pretty everything looked on the yellow chair. It doesn't take much to amuse me, especially at a very challenging conference.
This week I am inviting you to take a photo of your hand while you are stitching, and put it in your blog post today. Here is my hand stitching photo - some relaxing quilting in the morning sun which is the best light to stitch with. I am half way around the outside border now and the anticipation of a finished quilt is building. I plan to prepare the binding just in case I finish it soon!!
SO slow stitchers... link up your blog post below and be sure to include a photo of your stitching hand, and your name will go in the draw to win this box of treats, which includes some of my favorite stitching tools and some chocolate of course!

Thanks for offering the giveaway if we link with a pic of our hand quilting! I love your hand quilting you are showing too! Kathi
It does look pretty on that chair.
Totally forgot the hand thing and did my post yesterday. I have not been quilting recently...trying to give a thumb boo boo a break and time to heal. Trying to quilt with a bandaid feels too weird to I gave up on that :)
Thanks for the giveaway. As usual, your stitching is beautiful.
I did my post up last night and didn't do my hand,
It would be fun to put together a collage of photos of you hand-stitching on this pretty thing, when it's all said and done -- a fun way to look back and remember all the love that went into this quilt!! And yes, your supplies do look fun all perched and ready to go on the chair!! :)
Oh my hard to take a picture of your hand while quilting. I guess I should have waited till my husband got back from work. LOL Thanks for hosting the giveaway and promoting hand quilting weekly.
Beautiful stitches. I have to wait until next week to bring a picture of my hands.
What kind of batting are you using? I just started a new hand quilting project and am using batting I bought at Joannes the last time I was in the States. I have barely begun and already bent one needle and have had to resort to using pliers to pull the needle through. In the past I've always used polly with ease. This is very disappointing! I think I am going to have to take the quilt out of the hoop and quilt it free hand because the needle is so sticky.
Okay--it's pretty hard to take a photo while sewing, but I did it! Your quilting looks beautiful--sure wish we could have some morning sun in Minnesota!
I agree with Karen, next time I will ask someone to take the picture! Thanks for the party Kathy!
Thanks for the linky party and give away! Love the idea of seeing hands while stitching!
You are so close to a finish!! Thrilled!! Fun to see the hands hard at work.
Well dang! I read your post after I had linked up :( I went back to my post and added a pic of my hand, so if you can delete my first link up I'll link it up again with the hand picture as that shows up :) Love the idea of a "hand" pic!!! And love the look of that red and yellow together - only quilters and artists see that kind of beauty!
No one in the house except the cats to help with the photo, but I managed to juggle the seam with one hand and the camera with the other ...
I love your stitching on the chair - and did you notice how the colours match the quilt you're quilting?! I think we're drawn to particular combinations sometimes :)
What a great idea to have the hands in action - am enjoying looking at them all! I love your hand quilting in the hoop - beautiful!
The stitching looks great.
I've got my binding ready too! DH thought I was nuts when I asked him to give me a hand with a hand photo! Fun idea.
Added my link but missed the part about photographing my stitching hand - I love that idea! Next week for sure
Such a good feeling to be down to that last bit of stitching. Then my mind starts wandering to the next quilt on the list. Love your picture of the yellow chair, makes me feel right at home.
Looks like this is a week for binding. I hated to show my hands with all those age spots but maybe it will inspire others to use sunblock. lol
No stitching hand....forgot. Cool idea, though.
I took a picture of my hand with some slow stitching at the swim meet yesterday just to share on my weekend wrap-up post ... and then remembered this morning, when I was catching up on my blog reading, that you were asking for a picture of our hand while slow stitching. So yay! ... I can join in (albeit a day late).
Love the pics with the hands. Really neat idea.:)
I too loved this idea!! BUmmed to have missed it...but was down with that nasty stomach virus that is going around.:( Sure is fun to see everyone else's though!
