Saturday is the day to post our progress with the Rainbow
Scrap Challenge. I have made over 40 orange spools that are yummy. Except that one with the blue background...it might need to disappear?!
I have lots more to do with my orange scraps, and this month has passed so quickly, that I think my orange blocks might spill into next month.

Wow I love your orange spools. It's funny, my last post shows spools as well, in fall tunes.
Such pretty spools! I'd keep the blue background.... it will be that surprise in the quilt.
September has flown by, but it looks like you had time to get quite a few blocks done. Don't be too quick to throw out the oddball, you never know how it might fit in the end.
See now, I would keep that blue. Sometimes that hidden bit of splash is just the right bit of character and surprise a piece needs.
I like the blue. I notice you have punches of blue in the other orange fabrics. It's all about placement to make him fit in. (I'm thinking of the block as odd man out, therefore him.)
Oh he is an odd ball block! I think he is destine for another quilt!! Love all the orange spools!
Oh leave that little blue one in for sure! I love it; different is good...all the "old" quilts that you see--- when they ran out of something had a "ringer in there" and it makes them so lovable...just sayin' hugs, Julierose
Great job. It's looking good
The blue give the blocks character!
I know many quilters have a definite aversion to orange, but personally--I love it! Great blocks!
You have lots of gorgeous oranges. I'm with you, I'm not ready to quit playing with orange just yet.
Love your orange fabrics. The blue, too : )
Let that blue background block be your transition block! It has character - or it is a character - not sure which. It definitely has a personality all its own :) Love your spools!!!!
I agree about hanging on to the oddball block. It might just be what your quilt needs in the end. Orange was such a fun color to work with. I think I am going to have to collect some orange prints to use with my left over verdigris solid from my daughters quilt.
Those are really pretty and I love the blue in there.
it's so much fun to see what people are making! LeeAnna at not afraid of color
YEP, Janet O is referring to ME. I am not a fan of ORANGE. It might have something to do with the Swimsuit I wore in the Miss Moses Lake Pageant back in 1975...
I'm glad you got so many made with your scraps.
the orange is yummy!!!
love these and who would believe there were so many different oranges
I also vote to save the blue background spool for now. At layout time, it might just surprise (tickle) you!
I vote to keep the blue background too! And I think I'd add a few other surprise backgrounds to some of the other colors of spools.
