Got scraps? We are getting ideas!
So when I was at Gail's house this weekend, I started cutting 1.5" strips for my new QPOM project called "Not Just Any Rail Fence".
I am sewing these blocks on my 301 (gifted to me by Liz) to give it a good workout.
On my design wall today are the blocks I have sewn so far. I have already finished about a quarter of the blocks - 16 of the 63 needed.
I think I need to add in more red and gold and brown. What would you add?

I love the machine and the quilt blocks, I would add more orange and red.
More gold/yellow
More light blues :)
Cute pattern for a stash/scrap buster - you are going to get lots of answers which just means 'don't be afraid of color'!
Purple and lime green maybe some bright yellow!! Sparkle make it shine!! Very interesting pattern.
Looking good!
Yes, more bright colors added to this will make it shine. I like the idea of a Block pattern of the month that uses scraps! Great idea!
Nice start on a fun scrappy project! I would add more green-- but you probably already knew that :)
May I suggest considering more cheddar fabric to brighten.
I really like this pattern. Very fun twist on the rail fence. I like the idea of more gold/cheddar--maybe a little more red, but I must ask--where is the purple?
Looking great.
Great fences Kathy. I would add some cheddar because I love ♫♪ ORANGE ♫♪ and some red. Happy sewing.
Love your scrappy project!!
this sounds like a good BOM but I have promised myself nothing else new till I have finished more of the projects that I have at the moment
I like this pattern. Add any color you want. Remember it is suppose to be scrap so the more color the merrier.
