Quilt Square Quilt Along

I have completed my third block for Jo's Quilt Square Quilt Along. I think it turned out okay and it was really fun to sew.
I have wondered about changing the outside border to a darker fabric, but am not sure about that. What do you think...would a darker brown or blue be better?

Here are my first three blocks together. For April we have a choice of the other three blocks from pattern set #1. I am 99% certain that I won't be doing the applique block, because I LOVE the other two pieced blocks and intend to sew both of them.
To see the other Quilt Square Quilt Along blocks from this month, visit Jo's Country Junction.

I don't think it needs a darker border. It plays beautifully with the others just the way it is!

beautiful blocks! To quote Billy Joel "I love your quilt block just the ways it is"! That is a slight variation on Billy's lyrics...

Looks great, Kathy!

They all look wonderful. The border on the last one depends on what you are planning on doing with them. If they are all going in a quilt together, I'd leave it. If it is going to be a stand alone piece, I'd consider the light blue that is framing the Bear Paw block. I like the way the centre of the block currently floats on the background. If it is going to be a stand alone, you could leave it as is and use the binding as a final frame.

Gorgeous blocks!

I'd keep the border the same. It'll play off all the other borders well.

Lovely blocks. I agree with Cathy, depends on what you will do with them. A blue border would make those pretty stars pop.

These are very pretty - so delicate! I love the blocks together. I also like this last block just as it is. Great job! ~Jeanne
